Description
This is a 2003 Mercedes-Benz CL600 finished in obsidian black metallic over a Java leather interior. This coupe is powered by a 5.5-litre twin-turbo V12 mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. This CL600 was purchased by the seller two years ago, and is currently registered in British Columbia, Canada with a clean and (Normal) status and with approximately 65K-kms on the odometer. The seller mentions that he has added approximately 2,500 kms during his ownership period. The seller has been familiar and has personally serviced this vehicle since it was imported by Silver Arrow Cars in 2017 and later purchased from a client at Three Point Motors Mercedes-Benz where he worked for over a decade. The Carfax is pictured in the gallery. Service records and spare parts, including a removable cup holder, a set of floor mats, and some navigation DVDs are included in the sale. Just 48 2003 CL600's were imported and sold in Canada for the 2003 model year.
For US bidders, this CL600 is importable after a compliance letter from Mercedes-Benz Germany has been obtained. If the highest and winning bidder is US-based, the seller will acquire this letter. This CL600 coupe was manufactured in Germany by Daimler AG, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz. It belongs to the W215 CL-Class line; a second generation CL-class vehicles. Four oval Bi-Xenon headlights, fog lights, chrome grille inserts, and Mercedes-Benz badging grace the car’s front fascia. The V12-badged side mouldings are paint matched and paired with chrome accents. The CL600 profile is further accented by the absence of a B pillar, and its illuminated, heated, and electronically adjustable side mirrors. Front row passengers are treated to an express open sliding and tilting sunroof. The car is 197 inches long, 73 inches wide, and 55 inches high, with a 113 inch wheelbase and a curb weight of 4,500 lbs.
The seller mentions that the driver's side keyless lock button is inoperative, and some minor rock chips are present on the front bumper, as seen in the gallery. This CL600 rides on 18” Mercedes-Benz badged polished aluminium alloy wheels with new Michelin tires, installed at 63K kms. Stopping power is provided by vented discs with ABS, power assist, and ESP technology at both the front and rear.
The interior cabin of this 2003 CL600 has seating for four upholstered in Java beige leather, with Stone grey leather on the steering wheel, dash, and upper doors. Burled walnut wood accents are found on the steering wheel, console, shifter, and doors. The bucket front seats are 14-way adjustable, heated, ventilated, and massage capable - the latter two being optional upgrades. Dual zone climate control is available for front passengers. Rear passengers have 37 inches of headroom, 31 inches of legroom, and 55 inches of shoulder room. The rear seats are divided by a folding storage centre armrest. Further convenience features include an active charcoal air filter, an electrochromatic rear view mirror, courtesy lights, and cruise control. The CL600 sound system relies on eight premium Bose speakers and one subwoofer. A four-spoke tilting and telescopic Mercedes-Benz genuine leather and wood steering wheel fronts illuminated analog instrumentation with a 260kph speedometer at the centre and a 6K-rpm tachometer to the right, along with a trip computer, external temperature display, clock, and low fuel warning. Safety features include dual front and rear airbags, stability control, traction control, emergency braking assist, dusk sensing and auto delay headlamps, and a remote anti-theft alarm system.
The Mercedes-Benz’ CL600 is powered by a 5.5-litre twin-turbo V12 mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. This SOHC 36-valve M275 powerhouse features a low-temperature circuit with two water intercoolers, three-valve technology and AC twin-spark ignition with constant ionic current measurement for optimal ignition. It is rated at 493 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 590 lb-ft of torque at 1,800 rpm. Front and rear suspension are multi-link with ABC adaptive damping. The car’s claimed top speed and zero-to-60 are 155 mph and 4.7 seconds, respectively. The seller notes that recent servicing includes the engine air filter, cabin filter, brake fluid, transmission mount, and ABC filter and fluids having been replaced at 63K kms. The transmission oil filter and gaskets were serviced at 55K kms, according to the seller.
