Description
The exterior of the GT-R is finished in Midnight Purple paint (Paint code LP2) over a gray cloth interior. The private seller purchased the GT-R from a dealer in Ontario after it had been imported to Canada in 2017. The GT-R is currently registered in the province of Ontario with an active and (Normal) registration status. Factory highlights of the R33 include an all-wheel-drive Attesa system, a rear-wheel-steering Super HICAS system and a five-speed manual transmission paired to a 2.6L RB26 engine.
For US bidders, this R33 GT-R is directly importable without modification as it is EPA & DOT exempt being greater than 25 years old. For more information on transport in Canada/USA and Import, please visit our Transport/Import page here.
The original suspension has been replaced in favour of a set of Meister R Zeta-CRD Coil-overs. Braking is managed by DBA 4000 Rotors paired with Hawk HPS pads and Nismo Braided Brake Lines at both the front and rear. Helping the GT-R put the power to the ground is a set of Volk Racing forged TE37SL sized 18x10.5 +15 at all four corners. These wheels are wrapped with Bridgestone RE-71R tires, sized 275/35/18.
The body has had some upgraded added as well with the addition of a Series-3 GT-R Bumper and lip with Nismo N1 Vents. A Bee-R Style Carbon fiber Spoiler has been added as well. Typical rust formation spot on the R33-R34 GT-R’s are the strut towers, which the seller mentions are rust free on this GT-R. Photos of the undercarriage are included in the gallery below and the seller has also included a walk-around video that also shows the GT-R idling.
The interior of the GT-R is trimmed in dark grey cloth on the seats with lighter grey cloth inserts, dark grey carpet and a light grey headliner. The four-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel fronts an analog gauge cluster with a 180kph speedometer and a 10,000 rpm tachometer to the right.
The interior has been updated with the addition of an aftermarket Pioneer head-unit and a suite of four Defi gauges displaying boost pressure, oil pressure, oil temperature, and coolant temperature. A Personal Neo Grinta leather wrapped 350MM steering wheel has been added along with a Nismo titanium shift knob.
Passenger amenities include automatic climate control, powered windows, powered folding mirrors and a digital clock in the centre console.
Powering the R33 GT-R is a 2.6L RB26DETT inline-six twin-turbo engine. The RB26 has gained notoriety due to its highly receptive tuning abilities and a robust construction utilizing a cast iron block. The head features an aluminum construction with a dual-cam layout and 24 four valves total. The seller mentions that the timing belt was replaced at approx. 85k-kms. The powertrain of this GT-R is said to be mostly original apart from some light modifications done to the exhaust, cooling and intake systems including a Greddy Airinx Air Intake kit, Greddy Intercooler, an Apexi Downpipe with a Apexi High Flow Cat, a Tomei Expreme Ti Exhaust, a Attain KSP Cooling Panel and a Koyo Radiator with Samco hoses.
