This is a 2006 Porsche Cayman S finished in Meridian Metallic (paint code #6A6) over a black leather interior. This Porsche Cayman is powered by a 3.4-liter H6 boxer engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Cayman shares much of its upper construction with the Porsche Boxster, but boasts a retuned suspension. Designated the 987 by the German automaker, the second generation was produced from 2005 to 2012. This Cayman was imported from the United States to Canada in 2010. A Carfax is included in the documents gallery displaying regular servicing. The odometer currently reads approximately 146K-kms, 5K of those being added by the seller in his year of ownership. This Porsche Cayman is registered in Alberta with a clean and (Normal) status.
For US bidders, this Porsche Cayman is importable duty-free as it is an Ex-US vehicle. For more information on transport within Canada and import to the USA, please visit our Transport/Import page here.
This mid-engine German roadster rides on five-spoke 18” Porsche branded wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, 235/40ZR18 at the front and 265/40ZR18 at the rear. Stopping power is provided by 4-wheel ABS disc brakes, painted red with Porsche lettering.
High intensity discharge headlights frame the hood, with circular fog lights integrated into the front air dam. Large side intake vents behind the doors accentuate the Cayman’s low rocker panels that sweep up from the door sills. A soft dip divides the rear fenders and the rear window, which is seamlessly incorporated into the trunk lid and optioned with a rear wiper. Some hail damage including four small dents were appraised at $1000 in repairs using a paintless dent repair method. The seller also notes minor road rash and a windshield crack, all visible in the gallery. The Porsche Cayman is 172 inches long, 52 inches high, and 71 inches wide, with a 95 inch wheelbase.
Porsche designed the interior with large hooded circular gauges and circular cooling vents to match. A Porsche branded three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 8K rpm tachometer at the centre, with a 190 mph speedometer to the left, and a fuel gauge to the right. Steering is a rack and pinion design. The car’s seats, arm rests, e-brake, and shifter are upholstered in leather, with black and aluminium trim found elsewhere. The Cayman’s original CD player issues through Bose speakers. The seats are power adjustable. Door locks are also powered, and keyless entry is a standard feature. Other convenience features include the Cayman’s trip computer, cruise control, air conditioning and power windows.
The 2006 Porsche Cayman S is powered by a 3.4-liter DOHC flat-6 boxer engine with 4 valves per cylinder. This is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. This H6 engine is factory rated at 291 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 251 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm. The seller advises that the engine’s short block was replaced in 2014 at 76K km by Porsche and the clutch was replaced in 2017 at 125K km. The starter has also been replaced, and the oil, brake, and clutch fluid were replaced in Spring of this year. The Cayman suspension system is fully independent with coil springs at all corners.
