Description
This is a 1992 Honda Civic Si hatchback, an original Canadian market car, sold new in British Columbia. The seller acquired the Civic in 2020 and embarked on modifying it with an OEM+ theme while sourcing a genuine B16A engine. This engine features an 8200 RPM rev limit and 170 hp/116 lb-ft of torque and was originally found in a JDM Civic Type R. The engine and transmission reportedly had approximately 92k-kms on them at the time of installation, and the seller notes he has driven it under 1,000 km since. The included Carfax report notes insurance claims for theft, vandalism, and collisions, although it's important to note that each claim was under $4,000 CAD.

The body was finished in Granada Black Pearl from new, which features a black metallic finish with a purple hue. Factory equipment includes 4-wheel disc brakes, body-colored door handles, power side mirrors, and a power sunroof, which is said to be fully operational. Amber side marker lights are found at the front, while chrome Honda badges are placed at the front and rear.
The seller has fitted a set of white-finished Volk Racing TE37 wheels shod with Toyo Proxes R888R tires, sized 205/40/R17 on all four. These tires show 2017 date codes. A set of Skunk2 Pro-Series coilovers have been installed to improve handling, along with aluminum rear control arms.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in grey cloth with a matching dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a Pioneer single-din radio, cruise control, manual crank windows, and climate control. A four-spoke airbag steering wheel frames a 9k-rpm tachometer and a 220-kph/150-mph speedometer. The six-digit mechanical odometer indicates 196k-kms, approximately 1,000 of which have been added by the seller.
The powertrain was refreshed after installation with many maintenance items, highlights of which include an Exedy clutch kit, timing belt/water pump kit, valve adjustment, and various gaskets and seals. Invoices for maintenance and the engine purchase are included in the gallery below.
As previously noted, a B16A second-generation engine has been fitted, and the wrinkle red valve cover is a tell-tale sign. The stamping on the engine block notes “B16A 5600453”.
