Description
This is a 2000 BMW M Coupe finished in Titan Silver metallic (paint code: 354) over a black leather interior. This M Coupe is believed to be 1 of 363 produced in this specification between 98-2002. The Coupe is offered for sale privately and it is currently registered in Alberta, Canada with an active and (Normal) registration status in the seller’s name. The coupe is a US market example having been sold new in California in 2000. It was then imported to Canada in 2006 and subsequently registered in British Columbia, Canada. The seller acquired the Coupe in 2010 and mentions he has added approximately 14k-miles of the total 99k-miles shown. Making this coupe particularly unique, the seller opted to swap the original 5-speed transmission for a 6-speed manual found on the later M coupe cars. The original transmission is accompanied with the sale. For US buyers this M Coupe can be re-imported to the USA duty-free. As per the DOT and emission stickers, this coupe compiles with all USA safety and emission standards. For more information on transport/import please visit our Transport/Import page here.
The original window sticker is included in the sale and pictured in the gallery below. Options listed include a Glass roof panel and a BMW CD radio. The MSRP was $42,870 USD when sold new in 2000. The paint is Titan silver metallic, and the seller mentions the hood, front bumper and fenders were recently repainted to take care of any rock chips. The included recent Carfax report lists a minor claim in 2009 for approx. $2k CAD involving the front of the vehicle. The “Clown shoe” (Which is a nickname given to this model) wears a new set of BMW Style 40 Roadstar wheels that are shod with a new set of Firestone Indy 500 tires measuring 225/45R17 in the front and 255/40R17 in the rear. A second set of SSR wheels is said to accompany the sale as well. The exterior has been lightly modified with the addition of Umnitza Headlights and a Remus axle-back exhaust system. The brake system has been upgraded with new Power Slot drilled brake rotors, SS lines, Akebono pads and the calipers have been Powder Coated blue. Suspension has been upgraded with TC Kline DA Coil Overs with Camber Plates and Rear Poly Upper strut Mounts.
The M-Coupe interior has multi-adjustable, contoured sports seating for two, upholstered in black leather. The E-brake, shifter, console, and M-badged steering wheel are also upholstered in leather with red and blue stitching. The three-spoke wheel fronts analog instrumentation with a 260kph speedometer along with a fuel level indicator to the left and a 8K rpm tachometer along with a coolant temperature gauge to the right. An analog clock, battery voltage, and oil temperature are displayed with VDO gauges on the centre console. All gauges and the shifter surround are trimmed in chrome, and M badging is found on the drivers pedals, tachometer, door sills, and carpets. Standard features include front and side airbags, power locks and windows, cruise control, air conditioning, and a rear window defogger. The large tailgate at the rear allows for a spacious luggage compartment equipped with a cargo net and cover. A ZHP leather shift knob has been added.
The 3.2-liter S52B32 inline-six features VANOS variable valve timing and was factory rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. The S52 engine has had a Conforti carbon fiber Cold Air Intake added and a custom engine tune done by Sheni’s Auto trend. The seller mentions service records are included in the sale dating back to the first owner and throughout the years. Recent maintenance includes Stewart High Flow Water Pump, Brand new E46 M3 OEM Clutch and Flywheel, Rogue Engineering short shift Kit & SS Clutch Line, Bimmerworld Rear Transmission Mounts, valve cover gasket and all fluids were changed. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
