Description
This is a 1985 BMW 535i finished in Bronzit Beige Metallic (paint code #139) over a beige vinyl re—upholstered interior. This 535i is powered by a 3.5-liter inline-six cylinder engine paired with a 4-speed ZF automatic transmission. This 535i is currently registered in the province of Quebec with an active and (Normal) registration status. Equipment highlights include air conditioning, a sunroof, and newer BMW wheels. The E28 was the second generation of BMW’s 5-series line of executive cars. It was produced by the German automaker from 1981 to 1988. The wheels are wrapped in Marshal winter tires.

This classic E28 5-series sedan has a sporty “sharknose” hood, kidney grilles surrounded with chrome, and rounded headlamps set within the black horizontal slats of the grille. Amber turn signals are placed on the black impact bumper, and BMW badges feature on the hood and trunk lid. The mirrors are body coloured and the laminated windshield and windows have chrome bezels. Black body side mouldings and a sharp character line beneath the black door handles run the length of the car.
Bar shaped taillights are set within chrome bezels beneath 535i chrome script. The car rides on silver 15-spoke aluminium alloy wheels equipped with anti-lock brakes, a first for the 5-series line of cars. Dual exhaust tips are mounted at the centre rear. The body of the E28 is self-supporting, being welded to the body platform.
Inside the cabin, seating for four is upholstered in beige vinyl and grey piping. The seller notes the interior has been re-upholstered in the colour. The dash and doors are grey with armrests and a sunroof is featured.
The centre console angles toward the driver and contains air conditioning controls and a factory radio. The power window switches are situated on the surround of a shifter with resin-coated BMW badging.
A three-spoke BMW badged steering wheel is leather wrapped and fronts a 260 km/hr speedometer and a 7K rpm tachometer. The 535i is further equipped with cruise control, a trip computer, and check control lights on the instrumentation panel. The seller notes that the odometer is broken and currently reads 87k-km so true mileage is unknown. The seller also notes that the rubber dash is cracked in multiple areas.
The 3.4-liter M30 inline-six engine generated 182 horsepower and 215 lb-ft of torque when it was originally manufactured. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential with a 3.25:1 ratio.
