This 2-door compact executive convertible is powered by a 1.9-liter inline-four cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The odometer currently reads approx. 130,500-kms and it is currently registered in Alberta with an active and (Normal) status.
The 318i is a BMW 3-Series E36 model; these were produced by the German manufacturer from 1990 to 2000.

The wedge shape, covered headlights, and small wing mirrors on the E36 were designed for optimal aerodynamics. The front fascia of this 318i features covered quad headlamps, fog lights, a kidney grille, the BMW ornament, and amber turn lights. Black rubber body sill moldings run the length of the car, and its taillights wrap around at the rear. The 318i is 174 inches long, 67 inches wide, and 53 inches high, with a 106 inch wheelbase and a curb weight of 3,362 lbs.
This 318i rides on 15” 15-spoke BMW wheels wrapped in General Evertrek RTX all season touring tires, 195/65R15 all around. Stopping power is provided by anti-lock disc brakes at all four corners.

The instrument panel integrates the stereo, climate control with air conditioning, on board computer, power window and door lock controls, and a shifter surround trimmed in black leather.
The 1996 318i is powered by BMW’s M44 1.9-liter DOHC inline-4 cylinder engine, new for that year with increased volume and better acceleration, but with the same cast iron block with aluminium headers of its M43 predecessor. Factory rated at 138 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 133 lb-ft of torque at 4,300 rpm, this 16-valve system uses the Bosch Motronic 1.7.1 fuel injection system and VANOS variable valve timing. It has a claimed zero-to-60 mph of 10.1 seconds and top speed of 194 km/hr. This third generation 3-Series car came with “Z-axle” multi-link rear suspension for improved traction and handling.
