Description

This is a 1971 Ford Bronco that has been restored and rebuilt with an updated powertrain, interior, electronics, etc. This Bronco is finished in Metallic blue paint with airbrushed flames on the hood, fenders and doors. The flames change color from blue to silver in direct sunlight depending viewing angle. This can be seen in the walk-around video included in the gallery below. This Bronco is offered for sale privately by the seller and it is located in Red Deer, AB Canada. Being greater than 25 years old, this Bronco can be imported into the US as it is exempt from EPA and DOT standards. Formula Auctions can assist in arranging Transport/Import across Canada and USA for the succesful bidder.

Highlights of the Bronco include a Ford racing 302-engine, a removable hard top, bolt-on fender flares, a 4-wheel drivetrain, 33” tires, a suspension lift, a bolt-in roll cage and a color-matched painted interior with black-leather trimmed door cards.

The exterior of the Bronco as previously mentioned has been refinished in a Metallic blue paint with custom air brushing. The seller mentions that the exterior was recently polished, paint corrected and ceramic coated. The Bronco has had custom front and rear bumpers fabricated. The rear bumper has had a swing-arm incorporated that mounts the spare wheel. The seller mentions all the window glass and rubber seals were replaced under the restoration process. Aftermarket fender flares have been color matched and widen the body of the Bronco in order to cover the larger wheels.

The wheels are 6-spoke chrome 18” American Racing wheels which have been wrapped in Toyo MT Open Country tires which measure 33x12.50R18LT on all four.

The suspension has been lifted 3.5” utilizing a James Duff suspension kit. The exhaust from the Ford racing 302 is expelled through a true-dual ceramic coated exhaust system. The underbody has been coated black to prevent rust and undercarriage pictures are included in the gallery below.

The interior of the Bronco has been entirely re-worked in order to update the amenities while keeping a classic look and feel. The front seats are aftermarket bucket seats trimmed in grey cloth fabric with matching rear seats and grey seat belts. The audio system has been upgraded which features a Bluetooth head unit connected to a full speaker system including dash-mounted speakers and trunk mounted Pioneer woofers. The floor has been updated with black carpeting and matching black rubber floor mats.

A three-spoke perforated-leather steering wheel fronts a translucent gear selector to control the 3-speed automatic transmission. The original gauge cluster is mounted to the left of the steering column and shows a speedometer top speed of 100mph and an odometer showing just over 16k-miles.  A shift knob mounted to the transmission tunnel displays 4L, N, 2H, 4H selectable transmission modes. An aftermarket TUFFY glovebox in mounted in the dash in front of the passenger. The roof liner has been retrimmed in black fabric.

Powering the Bronco is a Ford Racing 302 cu in. engine connected to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The 302 engine has been modified with an Edelbrock performer intake manifold, a Holley carburetor, Thorley ceramic-coated headers and a K&N Chrome air filter. During the restoration the engine bay was painted satin black and a new brake booster. The seller mentions a recent service included replacing seals and gaskets in the transmission to fix a leak. The Bronco has not been dyno’d but estimated power figures are below:
