This is a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser finished in Emerald Green Metallic over a beige leather interior. This Toyota SUV is powered by a 4.2-liter turbo diesel inline-six cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This rare 5-speed manual diesel variant was only offered in the European and Australian market, where the Land Cruiser is loved for its reliability and longevity, even when tested against the rigours of the Australian outback. This Land cruiser also comes equipped with a factory differential locker that is controlable via the centre console. This particular example is a re-list from a previous auction listing here, where it was bid-to $36,500 CAD and did not reach the reserve value. The seller has opted to list this Land Cruiser No-reserve on this secondary offering.
This is a German market example imported to Canada in 2016. It is currently registered in British Columbia with an active and (Normal) registration status, and 141K-kms on the odometer. Recent service includes replacement of the engine oil, transmission oil, the transmission filter, and differential oil. The seller notes that this Land Cruiser has no history of accidents but the right front fender is believed to have been repainted.
For US bidders, this Land Cruiser is not directly importable as it is not a North American specification vehicle and it is not 25 years or older. It will be legal for EPA and DOT exempt importation under the 25-year rule in 2024 as it has a build year of 1999. It can still be imported to the US currently but only through a registered importer. This 100 series Toyota SUV has a black grille with a chrome surround and large rectangular headlights. Fog lights are set within the grey lower valence. The body side mouldings, rear bumper, and window bezels are grey, and the side view mirrors are body-coloured. Large stacked tail lights wrap around from the side to the rear hatch, framing Toyota Land Cruiser chrome script and a Diesel emblem. The Toyota symbol centres the rear hatch which incorporates a rear window wiper and a defogger. This Land Cruiser rides on 15” original Toyota five-spoke wheels shod in Yokohama Geolandar all season tires, 275/70R15 all around. This Land Cruiser comes equipped with a skid control system, tow hooks, and a trailer hitch.
Inside the cabin, the Land Cruiser has seating for five upholstered in beige leather, with brown leather and burled walnut wood accents on the dash, doors, shifter surround, and steering wheel. The front bucket seats are heated and power adjustable with memory settings. Windows and locks are also powered. The centre armrest has a large storage area.
A four-spoke steering wheel fronts analog instrumentation with a 190 km/hr speedometer to the left, a 6K rpm tachometer to the right, and auxiliary gauges surrounding. Steering is a rack and pinion design. The dash is centred by a panel with a radio/cassette player, a digital clock, air conditioning controls, and differential lock controls.
Rear passengers are provided with seatback storage, climate controls, cupholders, and armrests. Cargo capacity comes to 97.5 cubic feet and the area comes equipped with a cargo cover.
The 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser is powered by a 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with 4 valves per cylinder rated at 201 horsepower at 3,400 rpm and 317 lb-ft at 1,400 rpm. This is mated to a five-speed manual transmission with high and low range 4WD and high range 2WD. Toyota incorporates an Active Height Control and Skyhook Electronic Modulated Suspension, independent in the front.
