Description
This is a 1:1 scale replica Amalgam Mercedes/Mclaren MP4-22 F1 steering wheel. This is the same steering wheel that was used in the 2007 Formula 1 season with the Mercedes-Benz/Mclaren racing team. As you may recall, racing on the team that year was Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton. The team placed second and third that year with Lewis in second at 109 points and Alonso in third.
The steering wheel is an exact replica of wheel used that season and it is said to be full functional. Materials used consist of high quality carbon fibre in a 2x2 twill weave, rubber grips and an Alcantara wrapped centre.

Parc Ferme, acquired the wheel by sourcing it from the Hall of fame collection, which is a memorabilia shop located in Burlington, Ontario. The Hall of fame collection is commonly referred to as having some of the greatest racing history collectibles available in the world. The wheel features all the same the buttons from the real car and it is said to be handmade by Amalgam. The is said to have worked together with the F1 teams utilizing their manufacturing blueprints to ensure their replicas are identical.
The wheel comes with a matching stand/base that features a Chrome finished plaque with the models title.
The backside of the wheel features four functional carbon fibre paddles that were designed to give the same feeling and sound as the real thing. The quick release is also functional with a black anodized mounting point.
