Description
This Beck 550 Spyder shines in a silver exterior paired with a tan vinyl interior. Its power comes from a 1776cc Air-cooled Type 1 Motor, equipped with Dual 40 EMPI Carburetors, and it transfers its power through a four-speed manual gearbox with 4:12:1 gearing, controlled by a PBS Cable shifter. Notable features include a GT-style single mirror, a dual-grille engine cover, 16" wide-five wheels, KYB adjustable gas shocks, four-wheel disc brakes, a four-into-one exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers, electronic ignition, a banjo-style steering wheel, and VDO instrumentation. This Spyder, a 2020 model, has only clocked around 650 kilometers since its build completion. It is currently registered in the province of Saskatchewan with an active and normal registration status.
For US bidders, because this Sypder was built in 2020, it cannot be directly imported until it is 25 years old. It must be imported through a registered importer that will assess what modifications need to be done to meet DOT and EPA standards. This particular Spyder boasts a custom rear clamshell, reportedly shaped after an original 550 Spyder, and believed to be one of just two ever produced. The body is finished in silver with blue fender darts accented by yellow outlines. Exterior highlights include 14k gold-finished Porsche and Spyder badging, Wendler Coachwork Badges, bullet-style mirrors, chrome-finished headlight bezels, and a dual-grille engine cover secured with leather hold-down straps.
Steel wide-five wheels are adorned with Excelsior Stahl Radial 205/60 tires. The car also features KYB adjustable gas shocks, and its stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with stainless banjo fittings connected to Wilwood Brake and Clutch pedals and components.
Inside, the fixed-back bucket seats are upholstered in Porsche Tan Barber Pole Vinyl and are complemented by color-coordinated carpets. The dashboard and door panels match the body color. Crow latch-and-link lap belts have been added for safety.
The banjo-style steering wheel is equipped with a 356 Horn and faces VDO instrumentation customized by Palo Alto Speed, which includes a 250-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and a combination gauge for temperature and fuel level.
The Spyder also features 356-style Porsche turn signal and stock components. The five-digit odometer indicates that the car has covered approximately 650 kilometers since its 2020 build completion.
Under the hood, the Spyder is propelled by a 1776cc Air-cooled Type 1 Motor with Dual 40 EMPI Carburetors. Power is directed to the rear wheels through a four-speed gearbox with 4:12:1 gears, and it is controlled by a PBS Cable shifter. The car is equipped with a ceramic-coated four-into-one exhaust system featuring MagnaFlow mufflers. A functional oil cooler grill with a custom recess is included, housing a Damar front-mount oil cooler.
