This 1970 Rover 2000 TC is powered by a twin-carb 2.2L inline-four engine and is equipped with a fully synchronized four-speed manual transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, a de Dion rear suspension, 14″ Rostyle wheels, and an aftermarket Blaupunkt stereo. Purchased by the seller in September 2021 from the Rover Club of Canada, this vehicle is currently registered in the seller's name with an active and normal registration status. Although it served as a great stablemate to the seller's Roewe 750, recent downsizing has led to a lack of indoor storage for this P6.

The Rover P6 series was announced in 1963, with models named after their engine displacement. Finished from the factory in April yellow, the seller notes it shines well and is in good condition, although it appears to be an amateur respray with some overspray in areas. The bumpers are quite straight, though there are drilled holes present on the front bumper. Recent service includes an oil change, a rebuilt starter, a new battery, and the installation of a shut-off switch with an external hookup for a battery tender.
The 14″ Rostyle wheels wear 165/84H Vredesten Sprint classic tires. The unibody P6 features a unique bellcrank front suspension, a de Dion tube rear suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes with inboard rear rotors. The seller has added approximately 1,000 km during their ownership, and inspection of the vehicle did not reveal any major collisions.
Included in the sale are the original owner’s manual, two shop manuals, a period AM/FM cassette unit, and several boxes of used parts, including a cylinder head, camshaft, steel wheels, front brake rotors, a starter, and rare header components. The seller has noted that the car starts easily, shifts smoothly through the gears, and stops straight. Additional videos showcasing the cold start, road test, and compression test will be provided shortly.
The cabin features black leather seats, gray carpets, a two-spoke steering wheel, seatbelts, and woodgrain trim. A Blaupunkt stereo head unit has been installed, and the original head unit is included in the sale. Instrumentation includes a 200 km/h / 120 mph ribbon speedometer, as well as gauges for temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 92,000 miles.
The 2.2L Heron-head inline-four engine has its combustion chambers cast into the piston crowns. In twin carburetor (TC) trim, it produced approximately 115 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque. The original 2.0 engine has been replaced with a rebuilt 2.2 engine, and an electronic ignition system has been installed. All other components of the car remain original. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a fully synchronized four-speed manual transmission. The car is a work in progress, with some electrical items requiring attention, including intermittent gauge blackouts, headlights, radio, and turn signals. Additionally, there is a minor leak around the water pump area, and the carpets need replacement due to wear.
