The CL63 AMG’s front fascia features two horizontal chrome slats centred by a large Mercedes Benz three-pointed star. Fog lights are integrated into the lower grille which has a honeycomb pattern and chrome bezels above the AMG styled spoiler. Adaptive Bi-Xenon headlights with cornering illumination sit astride daytime running lights.
The window bezels, door handles, AMG side skirts, and trunk lid are accented with chrome. The exterior mirrors are heated and auto-tilting with integrated turn signal lighting. An express-open sliding and tilting sunroof is above. 6.3AMG script features on the front fenders, and CL63, a Mercedes star, and AMG badging are found on the trunk lid. Twin dual oblong chrome tipped exhaust outlets emanate from a black diffuser.
This CL63 AMG rides on 20” double-spoke silver AMG forged aluminium wheels, wrapped in Continental Extreme Contact 255/35ZR20 tires at the front, and Cooper Zeon RS3-S 275/35ZR20 tires at the rear, with disc brakes employing red AMG callipers all around.
Inside the cabin, seating for four is upholstered in black Nappa leather, with high gloss twill weave carbon fibre on the doors, push start button, and centre console. The rear passengers are provided with a carbon fibre roll-top storage compartment. The seats are heated throughout the vehicle, and the front seats are memory equipped with 12-way adjustment and cooling. The headliner is a Designo Alcantara trim. The entertainment system uses Benz’ COMAND interface, with SIRIUS satellite radio, a DVD player and a Harman/Kardon premium stereo system with 11 speakers.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel is heated and memory equipped. It fronts digital instrumentation with a central 320 km/hr speedometer and an 8K rpm tachometer to the right. Further comfort and convenience features include dual-zone automatic climate control, a backup camera, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, interior and exterior courtesy lighting, a trip computer, navigation, a garage door opener, and a voice activated cell phone. Safety features include cruise control, night view assist, tire pressure monitoring, and an anti-theft alarm.
The 2008 CL63 AMG is powered by Mercedes’ M156 AMG engine - a 6.2-liter DOHC V8 with 4 valves per cylinder and port fuel injection generating 518 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 465 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. A 7-speed shiftable automatic transmission drives the rear wheels. Driver controlled height adjustable adaptive suspension is employed at all four corners, with multi-link and AMG shocks at both ends. The seller notes that the motor mounts were replaced in the Summer of 2022. The P30 AMG Performance Package raised the top speed limiter to 300-kph (186-mph).
