Description
This a 2008 Lexus IS-F finished in obsidian black and it is 1 of 240 produced for the Canadian market in the model year. The IS-F was introduced in 2007 at the North American International Auto show in 2007 and it was the first vehicle from Lexus to bare the “F” Marque. It was Lexus’s first journey into high-performance vehicles and the F is short for “Flagship” and short for the famous Japanese “Fuji” speedway.
This example shows just over 150k kms on the digital odometer (93k miles) and it is offered for sale by the seller privately. It is currently registered in Alberta with a (Normal) status. The included Carfax shows registration records in Manitoba where it was sold new in 2008. The seller mentions that he is the third known owner of the vehicle. The Carfax also show various service records periodically throughout the history. The seller states that an insurance claim was recorded in 2019 that shows on the Carfax, was for a towing expense and it was recorded as a non-collision incident.

Setting the “F” apart from the stand IS are front fenders that are widened and vented and wearing an “F” badge. The widened side-skirts and rear bumper are also unique to the F. Height-wise the IS-F is an inch lower than standard which improves various suspension geometries and downforce. Exhaust breathes out a dual-muffler exhaust with faux quad-exhaust tips.
The interior boasts full leather bucket-seats front and back, a leather wrapped steering wheel and leather inlayed on the door cards. The center console is garnished with aluminum woven inlays. Standard amenities include a navigation system, steering wheel mounted paddle-shifters, functioning A/C and this IS-F was optioned with the upgraded 14-speaker Mark Levinson sound system. Being a Canadian model, the cluster is Kph dominant however the speedometer face also displays mph. This IS-F is importable to the U.S. once a letter of compliance is obtained.

Additional undercarriage pictures, imperfections and service records are included in the gallery. The seller mentions some scratches on the rear bumper, curb rash on rear-passenger wheel and the tow hook cover is damaged. The seller alleges there is no evidence of rust anywhere on the vehicle.
The IS-F came standard with 10-spoke 19” wheels and this example is wearing Grenlander L-Zeal 56 tires. They are sized 225/40ZR/19 in the front and 295/35/19 in the rear which are said to have been recently installed, along with an alignment completed. Other recent service include an oil change and replacing an oxygen sensor.
Modifications from the factory specification include a resonator delete, a Throttle controller to improve response, a TRD push-start and a RR racing air/oil separator.

The IS-F is powered by a 5.0L DOHC naturally aspirated V8 with a 6,900 rpm redline. Mated to the V8 is an 8-speed automatic gearbox which can be gear-changed via the steering wheel mounted paddles. In stock form, the IS-F was rated at 4.3 seconds 0-60mph and was electronically limited to a top-speed of 270 kph (168mph). This IS-F comes with two key-fobs and service records.
