Description
This is a 2002 911 996 Turbo 6-speed finished in black paint (paint code: A1). It's offered for sale by the selling dealer and it is currently located in Barrie, Ontario Canada. The 911 is registered in Ontario with a (Normal) status and the seller mentions he is the third known owner having acquired it in Dec, 2019. This 911 has remained registered in Ontario since sold new and the included Carfax shows no accidents or insurance claims. Included in the gallery below are undercarriage photos, a DME report, a cold-start and idle video as well as multiple service records throughout the vehicles history. This Turbo shows just just over 122k kms and is offered with a complete leather-backed manual and two sets of floor mats. Factory optioned highlights on this 911 include heated front seats (P14), Sports seats with full leather (P78), Stainless steel exhaust (X54), Aluminum door sills (X70), Carbon E-brake handle/Shift knob (Y05), AM/FM radio with CD changer (696) and Guards red seat belts (XSX).
The exterior of the 911 features a lower and wider aerodynamic front valence and vented rear quarter-panels that feed air into the dual mirrored intercoolers. H&R “Red” sport springs have been added the sport suspension to lower the centre of gravity and improve handling. The seller mentions that the suspension was serviced in June 2020 including the replacement of the control arms, sway-bar end links and tie-rods ends.
At 120km/h the hydraulic-powered rear wing raises to offer added downforce. The hydraulic rams have recently been assessed/serviced and the wing is said to be fully functioning. A service record is included in the documents section for the work completed. Paint protection film has been applied to the front bumper and partially the fenders/hood. The seller notes imperfection in the paint noted on roof and rear bumper, pictures documenting each are available for viewing below.
The 18” Turbo-twist wheels are wrapped in Pirelli Pzero tires measuring 225/40ZR18 in the front and 295/30ZR18 in the rear. These wheel feature a hollow spoke design that differentiates them from the wheels found on other 996 models. Exhaust is expelled from a stainless steel muffler system.
The interior features full a black leather trim with contrasted red-stitching on the sport seats and door cards. The seats are further optioned with Porsche crests on the head rests. Providing sound (other than the Mezger engine) is a Bose premium sound system. An alcantara roof liner, aluminum “Turbo” door sills and a carbon shift knob/E-brake handle complete the interior. The three spoke leather wrapped steering wheel fronts a white-faced gauge cluster. Being a Canadian-spec 911, the cluster features a 320km/h speedometer and an 8k rpm tachometer. For US located bidders, the cluster will not have to modified upon import because the cluster is capable of digitally displaying MPH.
Powering the 911 Turbo is a 3.6L horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine that in factory form is said to produce 415hp and 415lb-ft of torque. The orginal plastic diverter valves have been replaced in favour of aluminum valves and the exhaust system is said to have had Fabspeed catalytic coverters added.
The seller notes a recent engine service including the replacement of the cabin filter, engine air filter, fuel filter and spark service replacing the coil packs/spark plugs.
