Description
This 1975 BMW 2002 is finished in Maroon paint over a skai vinyl interior. The seller added various modifications to the exterior to make this a “Rally-inspired” tribute build. The car is powered by a 2.0-liter M10 inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Work carried out under a previous ownership includes a full engine rebuild and recently installed newer BF Goodrich tires.
Equipment includes 13″ steel wheels, front disc brakes, a sunroof and a Wood trim cluster. This 2002 is now offered for sale by auction by the private seller. For US bidders, this 2002 is directly importable without modification as it is EPA & DOT exempt being greater than 25 years old. For more information on transport/import please visit our Transport/Import page here.

Features include US-specification bumpers, dual side mirrors, pop-out rear windows, chrome trim, and dual exhaust outlets. A set of Hella Rally-style lights have been added to the front bumper bar with plastic covers. A roof rack basket has also been added further accentuating the rally-style build. The paint is said to be original and the seller notes clear coat peeling around the body along with some rust bubbling on the wheel arches.
The 13″ steel wheels and complimented by BMW center caps and are mounted with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 205/60R13 on all four. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames a woodgrain instrument panel that contains a VDO 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 93k miles, and total mileage is unknown. An OEM “M” striper shift knob has been installed.
The front bucket seats and the rear bench seat are upholstered in Skai vinyl and are complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Interior equipment includes a heater, crank windows, an aftermarket globe compass, and a passenger reading light. The seller notes that the dash has visible cracks which are viewable in the gallery. The seller also notes a “Loonie-sized” hole in the driver side floor pan.

The 2.0-liter M10 inline-four is equipped with a Weber carburetor and was factory rated at 96 horsepower and 106 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes the engine was fully-rebuilt in 2018 at a cost of ~$9000 CAD (invoice included). Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. This 2002 was original spec’d with an automatic transmission as per the vin and the “Automatic” emblem on the trunk, however it was converted to a five-speed manual under a previous ownership.
