Description
This is a BMW 228i that is finished in Melbourne red metallic over Dakota black leather. The exterior has been wrapped purple. The 228i is currently registered in the province of British Columbia with an active and (Normal) registration status. The included Carfax report shows two recorded accidents and associated insurance claims. The vehicle has been modified with several performance upgrades. These include a BM3 Stage 3 Tune with a 93 Octane shell Map, an upgraded transmission and ECU tune from Bootmod 3, FCP turbos, an AFE chargepipe, an InJen cold air intake, and a VRSF catless downpipe and muffler. These modifications aim to enhance the vehicle's overall performance and provide a more exhilarating driving experience.

The F22 2 Series was introduced by BMW in 2014 as a successor to the two-door versions of the 1 Series. The initial lineup included the 228i with a 4-cylinder engine and the M235i with a straight-6 engine. These models carried on the tradition of their esteemed predecessors, providing a well-balanced driving experience, impressive performance, and advanced technology for enthusiasts to enjoy.
The exterior of the 228i has been wrapped purple with 3M wrap and underneath, the car is finished in Melbourne Red Metallic. The seller notes a dent in the passenger side rear quarter panel.
The car is equipped with Breyton GTS race wheels in a square setup, measuring 19x9 inches. The wheels are paired with Nankang AR1 tires, with a size of 235/35/19 in the front and 245/35/19 in the rear. The suspension has been upgraded with the addition of Fortune Auto 500 series coil overs.
LED sequential mirror turning lights and Carbon Fiber M Performance mirror caps, enhancing the visibility and adding a sporty look to the side mirrors. It is also equipped with a Seibon front splitter, M carbon rear spoiler, M rear diffuser, and an M sport black grille, which contribute to improved aerodynamics and a more aggressive appearance. The addition of carbon fiber headlight eyelids further enhances the sporty aesthetic. Additionally, the rear windows have been tinted to 5%, providing privacy and a sleek appearance.
The interior features the M package which adds notably an M-steering wheel, M-branded door sills power-adjustable front sport seats, etc. Other interior features include a sunroof, Dakota leather upholstery, automatic climate control, and a Harman/Kardon sound system.
The seller mentions some interior modifications have been added including “M” pedals, red carbon fiber paddle shifters and LED interior lighting.
The vehicle is powered by an "N20" 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, delivering 240 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque from factory. This power is transmitted to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission, providing smooth and efficient acceleration. However this 228i has had some modifications completed as mentioned above that bring the power output (at the crank) estimated at 430hp and 380lb-ft of torque. The engine bay has been spray painted in removable latex paint, to match the exterior wrap colour.
