Description
This is a 2012 Nissan R35 GT-R finished in Pearl white (paint code: QAB). This GTR is offered privately by the seller and it is located in Calgary, AB Canada. It is currently registered in Alberta with a (Normal status). This GTR is a US-spec vehicle and was sold new in the USA and then subsequently imported by the seller. Being an ex-US vehicle the GTR can be re-imported state side free of any duties.
The GTR is a (DBA) model which includes many revisions from the previous four years of (CBA) R35 GTR’s (2008-2011). Highlights that the DBA enjoys over the CBA is updated TSB clips within the transmission (which was a common problem), larger Brembo brakes, revised bodywork on the front and rear bumpers and various updates to the interior as well.
This GTR is offered with 3 keys, service records, a complete factory manual, and the original pearl white trunk mounted wing.
Highlights of the exterior include widened and functionally vented front fenders with GT-R emblems, an aluminum hood, pearl-grey painted front lip/side skirts/rear lip, a Carbon fiber rear diffuser, HID headlights, flush-mounted aluminum door handles, power folding mirrors and quad LED taillights. The GTR has had a “Top Secret” Fiberglass and Carbon fiber wing added to the rear. The wing features a similar but accentuated shape when compared to the stock wing. As previously mentioned, the original wing is included in the sale. The original wheels have been replaced in favor of a set of Volk Racing TE37 Ultra 20” wheels finished in Mag blue. The wheels come with matching valve stems and center caps and are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super sport tires at all four corners. Close-up pictures of brake pad wear, tire wear and undercarriage photos are included in the gallery. The seller mentions the front bumper, hood, front fenders, side skirts, trunk and mirrors are covered in 3M film. Seller notes that the 3M paint protection film is peeling on the side skirts.
In the cabin the GT-R boasts grey leather on the front and rear seats while black leather wraps the door handles, center console, gear selector, E-brake and steering wheel. A matte carbon fiber panel surrounds the center console controls and the gear selector-surround and door card controls are wrapped in 3M Carbon dinoc. The GTR interior features a BOSE premium audio system, aluminum/rubber pedals, a push-start button and a multifunction steering wheel that fronts a digital/analog cluster. The speedometer show kms and miles however is mph dominant being an ex-US vehicle. The GTR has also had a laser/radar jammer and alert sytem installed at the front and rear.
The touchscreen infotainment system is able to digitally display metrics for boost, G-force, oil-temp, trans-temp, etc. These menus and displays are also customizable per the driver’s preference. The GTR features a launch control system that in stock form is said to take the GTR from 0-60 in 2.9 seconds.
The GTR’s exhaust system has been upgraded utilizing AMS downpipes/Y-pipe and a T1R titanium cat-back exhaust.
Powering the GTR is a 3.8L Twin-turbo charged VR38DETT engine. These engines are hand built by a single technician in Nissan’s factory and feature dual-overhead camshafts with variable valve timing and plasma-sprayed cylinder liner bores. Power is sent from the engine to all four wheels via a dual-clutch 6-speed automatic transmission. The seller mentions the engine has been modified with Cobb 3” dual air intakes, 1000cc injectors, larger fuel pump and Cobb stage-2 engine ECU programming.
