Description
This is a 2005 Honda finished in Rio Yellow Pearl (Y-65P) over black leather. It is powered by a 2.2-liter inline-four paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. This S2000 is a US-spec example that was sold new in New Jersey. It was then imported to Eastern Canada in 2008 and subsequently registered in PEI, Canada. The vehicle suffered a damage event shortly after it was imported, leading to its Rebuilt status. The vehicle is currently located in PEI and registered in the province with an Active and Rebuilt registration status. A recent Carfax is included in the documents section.
For US buyers this S2000 can be re-imported to the USA as it is a US-spec example. No modifications will need to be completed in order to register it in any state as it is US-spec DOT and EPA compliant. The exterior is finished in Rio Yellow Pearl (Y-65P). This high-performance Japanese-made 2-door roadster features a power-retractable black convertible soft top and a glass rear window. For the second generation S2000, given the chassis code “AP2” - Honda revised the front and rear bumpers, with additional equipment including Xenon headlights, LED taillights, and oval-tipped dual exhaust outlets.
The factory Honda ten-spoke 17” wheels are wrapped in 215/45ZR17 Minerva Radial F105 tires in the front, with 245/40ZR17 in the rear. These tires are said to have been installed in 2020. Braking is managed by power-assisted ventilated discs up front, with solid discs in the rear.
A new black convertible top was said to have been installed in 2021 as well.
The seller notes some wheel rash and some rock chips in the paint, inline with the age of the vehicle. The S2000’s interior features black leather upholstered seats and a leather wrapped steering wheel which fronts a bar-style digital tachometer with an 8K-rpm redline and a digital speedometer, along with fuel and temperature gauges. Amenities include a push-button ignition, cruise control, and air conditioning.
The aluminium shift knob is wrapped in leather at the base. Matching aluminium accents appear on the centre console, brake, clutch, and gas pedals, and on the inner steps with S2000 badging.
The seller notes that the check engine light is currently indicated and the code is P0410 which indicates an issues with the "Air Pump Circuit Malfunction".
Honda’s F22C1 engine - a naturally aspirated DOHC VTEC 2.2-liter inline-four - sends power to the rear wheels solely through a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited slip differential. In 2004, second gen AP2 S2000’s underwent several changes, especially to the drivetrain and suspension. Stroke was increased to 2175 cc displacement, raising torque 6% to 162 lb-ft at 6,800 rpm. Redline was reduced from 8900 to 8000 rpm. Gear ratios were also changed: The first five gears were shortened, and the brass synchronizers in the gearbox were replaced with carbon fibre. The S2000’s engine is set behind the front axle giving it an impressive weight distribution. A K&N intake has been installed on this S2000 as well.
