Description
This auction presents a distinctive 1931 Chevrolet Tudor Sedan Delivery custom Rat Rod, a unique vehicle that has been meticulously modified over a seven-year build period. Designed as a four-season driver, this Rat Rod merges vintage aesthetics with modern enhancements, resulting in a striking blend of classic and contemporary features. This Tudor is currently registered in British Columbia with an active and (Normal) registration status. This Tudor is now offered for sale by auction by the private seller on behalf of the owner.
For US bidders, this Tudor is directly importable without modification as it is EPA & DOT exempt being greater than 25 years old. For more information on transport/import please visit our Transport/Import page here.
The body of this 1931 Chevrolet has been extensively modified, including a 4-inch chop to the roof and conversion to a two-door coupe with suicide doors. Dual spare wheel carriers and a ribbed headliner add to its distinctive appearance.
The body is mounted on a 1980 Chevrolet S-10 frame, providing a solid foundation. It features power disc brakes, power steering, and a differential, ensuring modern handling and braking performance. The vehicle sits on striking wheels that complement its aggressive stance. Various undercarriage photos can be seen in the gallery below.
Inside, the Rat Rod boasts an interior crafted from oak slats, with an oak cargo area that enhances its rustic charm. Analog gauges monitor speed, tachometer, gas, oil pressure, and water temperature, ensuring that the driver stays informed about the vehicle's performance.
The interior is wired for sound, equipped with tweeters, mid-range speakers, and a subwoofer, ready for the installation of your preferred head unit. A two-tank fuel system with a floor-mounted control lever adds to the vehicle's practicality. Heating is managed by a dash-mounted valve, providing defrost to the front window, while a levered cowl vent and original sun visor enhance airflow and comfort.
Under the hood lies a Chevrolet 305 cubic inch V8 engine paired with an automatic 4-speed transmission, featuring a neutral safety switch and reverse lockout. An Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor boosts performance, while stainless steel dual exhausts with trumpets and side pipes deliver an exhilarating sound. This powerful and reliable engine setup ensures that the Rat Rod performs as impressively as it looks, offering a thrilling driving experience for its new owner.
