Description
This is a 1969 Datsun 510 racecar finished in a white/green livery. The 510 is not street legal and was extensively modified for track use under a previous ownership in 2009. The 510 comes with various records relating to the build, a dyno sheet, a racing log book, etc.
The owner has used this 510 occasionally at the Area 27 raceway in Oliver. It is now offered for sale privately out of the owner’s personal collection. The seller mentions that a spare front fairing and fenders come with the sale, as well as a set of rain tires and a second of matching wheels. The seller mentions the Datsun was last registered in Alberta and it is currently not registered. Highlights of the equipment on the 510 include a Rebello Racing 2.0L engine which the seller mentions has approximately 5 hrs. of racing on it, a full weld-in cage, a stripped interior and trunk mounted fuel cell with AN-lines.
The exterior of the 510 features Dzus quick release fasteners on various body panels which allows for quick changes and replacements of body panels with damage when racing. The original glass windows have been replaced in favor of Lexan plastic windows and a Driver safety net is mounted behind the driver door. The exterior features a removable front faring with an aluminum splitter, widened front fenders, riveted rear fender flares and a riveted rear decklid spoiler. This 510 is equipped with 15” Panasport racing wheels which are wrapped n Goodyear Eagle tires on all four corners. Behind the wheels is a Wilwood braking system at all four corners. Built into the frame beneath both doors is a quick jacking point for ease of use. The suspension on the 510 is entirely custom and adjustable which features a coil over system and camber plates as well as aluminum rear swing arms. The seller mentions a Nap Z 5-speed transmission was used in combination with a R180 rear differential with 3.9 gears.
The Interior has been track-prepped by removing all the original upholstery and amenities. What is left is a light-weight driver focused interior. Highlights of the interior include a single Sparco racing seat with a 4-point G-Force harness, a wildwood pedal assembly with individual fluid reservoirs, a Mark Williams enterprises leather wrapped steering wheel and an aluminum shift knob. A custom center console was fabricated out of aluminum bracketry to house various carbon-faced Auto-meter gauges and switches. Behind the steering wheel is a Carbon fiber faced tachometer with integrated shift lights mounted on the top. At the left of the wheel is a second cluster which features an adjustable wildwood braking bias knob.
In the trunk of the 510 is further bracing and a custom aluminum fuel cell with AN-lines and an electric fuel pump. The seller mentions rock-chips are noted on the front fairing as well as a hole in passenger-rear wheel flare.
The seller mentions that the 510 is powered by a Rebello racing 2.0L race engine with Mikuni Carburetor's. This engine reportedly has 5 hrs. of race time on it and the seller has included a Dyno graph for when the engine tuning was finalized. The seller mentions the engine features forged internals and there is a headlight vented oil cooler mounted on the passenger side. An ALLSTAR catch can takes care of crank case ventilation and spark is managed by a an Electromotive dual coil distribution system.
