This is a 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300E finished in Nautical Blue (paint code #929U) over a grey MB-textured leather interior. This midsize sedan is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The odometer currently reads apx. 44K-km, but it was reset at 100K so the true mileage is estimated to be 144K km. This E-Class is registered in Quebec with a clean and (Normal) status. The 300E is a W124 model; these were produced by the German manufacturer Daimler-Benz from 1984 to 1997. The seller notes that this one-family car has always resided in Quebec, and that he has obtained a clean Carfax with no history of accidents.
For US bidders, this 300E is directly importable without modification as it is EPA & DOT exempt being greater than 25 years old. For more information on transport/import please visit our Transport/Import page here.
This E-Class saloon is Nautical Blue with dark grey rocker panels and black bumpers. It has a chrome grille adorned with a Mercedes-Benz three pointed star. Large flush headlights come equipped with washers and are framed by wraparound amber turn lights, and the tail lights are fluted. The centre of the hood is raised and the side view mirrors have black housings.
The windshield comes equipped with a single wiper that has an extended reach, maximising its coverage. The Benz rides on 16” authentic AMG monoblock wheels wrapped in Far Road tires size 215/55ZR16 all around. A spare set of OEM 15” wheels are included in the sale. Some rust is present on the rear fender on the drivers side and on the rocker panels, as shown in the gallery. A trailer hitch has been installed.
The 300E interior is grey and black with wood bezels on the centre console. The seats, upholstered in a textured grey leather, are powered with memory settings. The locks, windows, sunroof, and mirrors are also powered.
The sedan comes equipped with cruise control, automatic climate control, air conditioning, a factory anti-theft warning system, a powered antenna, and a Pioneer stereo head unit with an aux cord input. Both front and rear passengers have access to arm rests and storage pockets, and the rear seats have fold-down headrests should the driver need to improve rearward visibility.
A black four-spoke Mercedes-Benz steering wheel fronts an analog instrumentation panel with a 240 km/hr speedometer at the centre. Fuel economy, level, and oil level and temperature gauges are placed to the left, and a 7K rpm tachometer is at the right with an inset analog clock.
The 300E is powered by the Mercedes-Benz M103 - a 3.0-liter SOHC inline-six cylinder engine driving the rear wheels. This is factory rated at 177 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque when new. The M103 is a lightweight cast iron block with aluminium heads, hydraulic lifters, and KE-Jetronic fuel injection. The self-levelling rear suspension utilises a multi-link axle, struts, and coil springs.
