Description
This is a 2004 Audi RS6 wagon finished in Mugello Blue pearl metallic paint (paint code: 5W5W). It is offered for sale privately by the seller and it is located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This wagon was originally sold in Japan and brought to Canada in 2018. The seller mentions he is the first Canadian owner and has owned the wagon for three years while adding approximately 25k-kms under his ownership. The seller mentions he has completed an estimated $40k+ cad in maintenance and service work throughout his ownership period and has included various service records to support the work completed.
These C5 RS6 Avant’s were never offered for the North American Market, however their sedan counterpart was. Being that the avant was never sold in North America, and this example is a Japanese market specification, this wagon is not eligible for direct import into the USA until 2029, when it reaches 25 years old. However, a US buyer may import it through a registered importer where it could be modified to meet US EPA & DOT compliance.
The exterior of the RS6 features “aluminum look” roof rails, mirrors, window trim and grill. RS6 badging is found on the grill and rear hatch and the rear five windows are lightly tinted. The silver finished 19” 5-spoke wheels are wrapped in all-season Nokian WR G4 tires measuring 255/35/R19 at all four corners. The seller mentions a set of Bridgestone Potenza summer tires will be included in the sale. RS6 badging is found on the grill and rear hatch. The seller mentions no known history of any paintwork or accident history. The seller mentions that the RS6 is in stock form and free from any interior/exterior/powertrain modifications with the exception of a Sony double-in head-unit and upgraded radiator cooling fans. Braking is managed by 8-piston RS6 branded front callipers with 2-piece floating rotors. Two-piece rotors handle the rear as well with one-piston callipers. All four rotors and pads were replaced at approx. 90k kms. An associated service record is included in the gallery.
The seller mentions imperfections including curb rash on the the wheels and sagging of the roof liner.
Other significant service includes rebuilding the transmission, torqueconverter, turbochargers, replacing the timing belt & water pump and replacing the radiator while adding upgraded cooling fans.
The three spoke RS6 emblemed steering wheel fronts a digital and analog cluster that currently shows approximately 111k-kms on the odometer. An 8k-rpm tachometer is displayed on the left while a 310 km/h tachometer is on the right. The interior is finished in silver leather on the door cards and front/rear seats. Wood trim is laid into the dash, centre console and door cards. The Sony double-din head unit features bluetooth, Apple carplay, etc. and it plays audio through the factory Bose speaker system.
The rear seats fully fold down allowing the rear of the car to feature a large storage area. The seller has included pictures of the undercarriage, a walk around/start-up and revving video in the gallery below. The seller mentions that four spare brake rotors will accompany the sale of the avant.
Powering the RS6 is a 4.2L twin-turbocharged engine that sends power through a 5-speed automatic transmission to turn all four wheels via a Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The transmission is optionally shifted with the paddles mounted on the backside of the steering wheel and the gear selector in the centre console. In stock form, when released, Audi claimed the RS6 avant could complete a 0-60mph run in 4.8s.
