The third generation E-class is based on the W211 model chassis. It has 5 doors, with an automatic hatchback. A three-pointed star ornament graces the hood above a chrome grille. Oblong bi-xenon headlamps with cornering illumination frame smaller daytime running lights and sit above fog lights integrated into the air dam. As previosuly mentioned, the Carfax for this Wagon shows no mention of any accidents, although the front left fender is believed to have been repainted for an unknown reason as it is slightly a different shade, as seen in the photos.
The power-folding, heated, and auto-dimming side view mirrors contain turn signal lighting, and a tilt/slide glass sunroof is optioned. Body side mouldings are accented with chrome. The car’s profile is lowered with sculpted body-coloured rocker panels, and it comes equipped with black aluminium roof rails.
This E350 rides on five-spoke 17” Mercedes AMG badged alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Primacy mxm4 tires, 245/45R17 all around. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel ABS disc brakes.
Inside the cabin, seating for five is upholstered in Amaretta Nappa leather. The front bucket seats are heated and 10-way powered with memory settings, and the rear seats fold down. Burled walnut wood accents are found on the dash, doors, centre console, and shifter surround. The infotainment system employs Mercedes’ MBUX interface on a multi-function LCD screen and Harmon/Kardon speakers. The large trunk cargo space is equipped with a retractable cover and pet divider.
A four-spoke tilting and telescopic steering wheel is leather-wrapped and fronts analog instrumentation with a 260 km/hr speedometer at the centre, a clock to the left, and a 7K rpm tachometer to the right, with fuel level and temperature gauges on either side. Further comfort, convenience, and safety features include a trip computer, distronic adaptive cruise control, telematics, dual-zone air conditioning, rain sensing wipers, remote keyless entry, an anti-theft alarm, and front, side, and roof curtain airbags.
This E350 is powered by Mercedes’ M272 engine - a 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels. The M272 is factory rated at 268 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 260 lb-ft of torque at 2,400 rpm when new. Suspension is an independent design with coil springs, front and rear stabilisers, and anti-roll bars. Stability and traction control are equipped.
