Description
This 2011 BMW Alpina B7 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in Jet Black (paint code: 668). The Alpina is currently registered in Alberta Canada with a (Normal) and active status. The included Carfax report shows registration history in Alberta only since first registration in 2011. The included Carfax shows various maintenance records and two prior accidents/insurance claims in 2016 & 2017 respectively. Factory highlights include adaptive Xenon headlights, a glass sunroof, Park Distance Control, Comfort Access, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, four-zone automatic climate control, soft-close doors, navigation with heads-up display, ambient interior lighting and a factory Hi-Fi sound system. The car was sold to its third and current owner three months ago and it shows just over 170k kms on the digital odometer. The seller mentions that he has added approximately 2000kms to the B7 under his ownership.
For US buyers, this Alpina is DOT and EPA complaint and is eligible for immediate import once a letter of compliance is obtained from BMW USA customer service.
The 19” Alpina wheels are said to have been recently refinished by power coating them gloss black. The tires were said to have been recently replaced as well with Michelin X-Ice winter tires measuring 245/45/19 at all four corners. The exterior features gloss-black shadow line trim, tinted rear windows and an automatic trunk.
The seller mentions that there is a clicking sound that emanates from the engine bay after long periods of driving, and after recently performing a smoke test on the crankcase it was found that PVC lines are leaking, which could be the cause of the whistling or clicking sound in some circumstances. A service record diagnosing the aforementioned is included in the gallery and the seller notes there are currently no check engine lights or codes. The seller also notes imperfections including cracks in the windshield, rock chips on the front fascia and a scratch on the door. All the aforementioned are pictured in the galleries Imperfection category.
The seller has included a walk-around video, idle and an interior video. Undercarriage pictures and various service records are included in the photo gallery below.
The cabin is upholstered in black Nappa leather, with piano black trim on the dashboard, centre console, and door panels.
The heated steering wheel is wrapped in hand-stitched Lavalina leather and it frames a digital and illuminated Alpina specific cluster. The headliner is finished in Alcantara and various Alpina badges are found throughout the interior including the Alpina specific plaque mounted just in-front of the rear-view mirror. This Alpina B7 is fitted with BMW’s Brake Energy Regeneration system and Alpina-tuned suspension which results in stiffer spring rates and a lower ride height than the standard 7-series. The seller mentions that the brake pads were recently replaced and an oil change was completed recently. The seller mentions that the front of the vehicles paint is protected with 3M film.
This Alpina features the X-drive powertrain which sends power to all four wheels.
The twin-turbocharged N63 4.4-liter V8 is said by the seller to have been upgraded to produce approx. 700 hp with the addition of larger turbos. The factory-rated output was 500 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque when new. The Alpina-tuned engine features reinforced cylinder heads, high-performance pistons, an upgraded cooling system, large turbochargers and intercoolers, and the Alpina-specific engine management software allowing for a maximum boost pressure of 14.5 PSI.
