Description
This is a 2008 BMW M3 coupe finished in Carbon Schwartz Metallic paint (paint code: 416). This M3 is offered for sale privately by its owner and it is currently registered in Quebec, Canada with a (Normal) status. As per the included Carfax report, this M3 was sold new in New Brunswick and then shows subsequent registration history in Ontario and Quebec. Highlights of the factory equipment include heated and power-adjustable front seats, shadow line trim, a Carbon fibre roof panel and adaptive xenon headlights. The M3 features unique and wider front and rear bodywork with a vented hood and front fenders when compared to the standard 3-series coupe. The 19” 10-spoke “M” dual slat wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires, sized 245/35ZR19 in the front and 265/35ZR19 in the rear. Braking is managed by cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. Power is sent through the 6-speed manual gear box to a limited-slip differential. Minor modifications have been added the the M3’s exterior including matte black “plasti-dipping” the chrome kidney grills and adding “M” tri-colour stickers to the grill slats. Both modifications are reversible if a factory look is preferred. A Turner Motorsport Carbon Fibre high-kick trunk spoiler has also been added and paint-matched to Carbon Schwartz metallic. The spoiler is also removable. The Carfax shows an accident-free history although there is theft insurance claim listed in 2016 that occurred under a prior ownership.
The cabin is finished in Fox-red Novillo leather on the seats and door cards. Carbon-fibre look vinyl trims the dashboard and door cards as well. Standard passenger amenities include a dual-zone automatic climate control, an iDrive LCD display infotainment system with navigation which is also DVD compatible. Behind the leather wrapped steering wheel is the digital odometer which shows just over 65,700 kms. Besides the high-revving V8 provides a cabin symphony, the Harman Kardon sound system provides Audio to the passengers. An electronic rear sunshade, automatic seatbelt extender’s and rear parking sensors are also featured on this M3.
Due to the optioned carbon roof without a sunroof, this option is commonly referred to as a rare and desirable specification due to its weight savings attribute.
Powering the M3 is a high-revving 4.0L V8 naturally aspirated engine. Mated to the S65 engine is a 6-speed manual gearbox. This M3 was optioned with the M Performance sports exhaust which gives it a more aggressive and slightly louder bark than the standard option. The powertrain is said to be entirely factory-specification and free of any power modifications.
