Description
This is a 2016 Mercedes-Benz sprinter van finished in Arctic white (paint code: 9147). It is listed for a private sale and it is currently registered in Alberta, Canada with a (Normal) Active status. The current owner and seller is the original owner and purchased it new in June 2016. The included Carfax shows registration history in Alberta only. The Carfax shows no accident history and one vandalism claim in 2021 in which the seller mentions the sliding door was repaired from a dent. This van was optioned with the upgraded V6 diesel BlueTec engine and was optioned in rear-wheel-drive format. The seller has custom-outfitted the interior of the cabin with various upgrades (more on this later). When new, this van was the tallest and longest van available in Mercedes-Benz’s Sprinter van line-up.
For US buyers this Sprinter is EPA and DOT compliant and can be imported. Prior to importation, a compliance letter from Mercedes-Benz customer service must be obtained.
The roof features two sun windows and an integrated vent. The 16” steel wheels are wrapped in Goodyear Kevlar reinforced Wrangler tires measuring 245/75R16 at all four corners. The seller notes imperfections including a surface rust spot on the exterior’s driver-side rear panel and a cracked windshield. Pictures of both are included in the gallery below. The interior of the Sprinter van has been outfitted with various modifications, the highlights of which include, a diesel Airtronic heater and a Samuel power 2200 inverter with a matching remote control. Four discover batteries have been wired in unison in order to power the owner accessories for many hours without the van running. The batteries are recharged via the addition of a secondary alternator that has been added to the engine for this sole-purpose.
The interior of the cockpit is trimmed in dark grey cloth on the seats and arm rests while the four-spoke steering wheel fronts a black/grey dash. The analog/digital cluster features a 180km/h speedometer to the left and a 5000 pm tachometer to the right. The Digital odometer shows just over 114k-kms (70k-miles).
The cabin has been outfitted with LED lighting, wood and sheet metal panelling, dual 120V outlets, compressed air hose routing and durable rubber flooring. The seller was utilizing the van for a road cycling mobile service operation, however with the current equipment installed, the van could be used to serve a number of purposes.
Powering the van is a 3.0L V6 Bluetec diesel engine that produces 188hp and 325lb-ft of torque in stock form. This engine package is an upgrade over the inline-four cylinder engine that comes as standard. Power is sent from the diesel power unit to the rear wheels via 5-speed automatic transmission. The seller mentions that the van has been serviced regularly by the Mercedes-Benz dealer.
