Description
This is a 1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce coupe finished in Metallic Grey over a black leather interior. It is powered by a 2.0-liter twin-cam inline-four mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Equipment highlights include a black soft top, 16” Rota wheels, aftermarket exhaust, a frame stiffener, performance brakes, Koni shocks, air horn intakes, an amplifier, and a Bluetooth receiver. This car is currently registered in British Columbia with an active and (Normal) status, with approximately 73K-miles on the mechanical odometer.
For US bidders, this 2000 Spider Veloce is directly importable without modification as it is EPA & DOT exempt being greater than 25 years old. For more information on transport/import please visit our Transport/Import page here.
The spider was repainted in 2020 in its original Metallic grey finish and pairs well with the black Haartz Stayfast soft top. The front fascia sports single rounded Hella H4 headlamps within clear bubble housings and a chrome plated bumper centred by Alfa Romeo’s signature V-shaped grille. The stylish Italian coupe has a wide indented character line, chrome Talbot mirror housings and window bezels, and a single chrome-tipped exhaust outlet that emanates from a cutout beneath the left side of the licence plate, which is framed by bar shaped tail lights surrounded by chrome. Pininfarina badges are placed by the rear fenders.
This 2000 Spider Veloce rides on 16” Rota wheels with Alfa Romeo centre caps wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires, 205/55R16 all around with disc brakes. The headlights and taillights, badges, windshield glass, weather stripping, and wipers are said to have been replaced under previous ownership.
Inside the cabin, seating for two is upholstered in black leatherette with ribbed inserts and black piping. Seatbelts have been installed.
A three-spoke wood grain steering wheel with an Alfa Romeo badge at its centre fronts an instrumentation panel with round hooded Jaeger gauges; an 8K rpm tachometer on the left and a 140 mph speedometer on the right. Auxiliary gauges are located at the top of the centre console above a green, white, and red Pininfarina script plate. Heater defroster sliders are to the left of the wood handle shifter, also framed by red lit indicator lights and wiper buttons.
A bluetooth receiver is linked to an amplifier mounted in the trunk. The left footwell, Dynamat insulation, spare tire pan, and trunk release lever were all repaired or replaced under previous ownership.
The 1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce is powered by a 2.0-liter twin cam inline-four cylinder engine with dual Weber 40 DCOE carburetors and Sprint Filter air horns fitted with Uni air filters. This system is also equipped with a Centreline distributor and a 123ignition. The engine package is rated at 128 horsepower and 130 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited slip differential. The transmission mount uses urethane bushings, and the exhaust has been upgraded with a IMASAF exhaust and a Centreline Stinger section at the rear. The battery has been relocated to the trunk with a disconnect switch inside the engine bay. The carburetors, thermostat hose, oil pan gasket, and spark plugs were all overhauled and/or replaced under previous ownership, and an oil change was performed in August 2022.
