Description
Acquired in 2022 by the seller in a non-operational state, this 1971 Suzuki T250 Hustler is currently in non-running starting condition with the seller specifying the need for an oil seal replacement behind the starter and an oil change before initiating a starting procedure. Clad in metallic orange adorned with white stripes, the motorcycle is propelled by a 247cc two-stroke parallel twin mated to a six-speed transmission.
Notable features include 18″ wire-spoke wheels, dual Mikuni carburetors, automatic oil injection, and a dual exhaust system positioned low. The motorcycle, finished in Mesa Orange with white stripes over a duplex frame, is presented by the seller in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, boasting an active and regular registration status under the selling dealer's name.
The originality of the paint is believed to be preserved, with no indications of repaints or touch-ups on the Mesa Orange exterior with white stripes. Chrome-plated fenders, a black bench seat, street lighting, folding passenger foot pegs, center and side stands, and original foot peg assemblies, kick-starter, and shift-lever rubbers contribute to the motorcycle's vintage charm.
The gas tank exhibits some paint crazing, while the 18″ polished chrome steel rims showcase Bridgestone tires. Suspension duties are handled by a conventional telescopic fork with black accordion gaiters and preload-adjustable shocks on the swingarm.
Drum brakes, featuring a twin leading-shoe design at the front, ensure reliable stopping power.
For US bidders, this T250 is directly importable without modification as it is EPA & DOT exempt being greater than 25 years old. For more information on transport/import please visit our Transport/Import page here.
The chrome cross-braced handlebar hosts Suzuki grips and dual mirrors, positioned between the friction-plate damper adjustment knob and a instrumentation cluster comprising a 140-mph Nippon Seiki speedometer, a matching tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, and a five-digit odometer displaying 12k miles.
The motorcycle is registered based on the complete engine number T250-42465 stamped on the left engine case.
With a power output of 32 horsepower when new, the 247cc two-stroke parallel twin boasts Suzuki's piston-port induction, Posi-force lubrication, 24mm Mikuni carburetors, a kick starter, and a chrome dual exhaust system. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a multi-plate wet clutch, a six-speed transmission, and a drive chain with a plated chrome guard.
