Description

This is a 2019 build Factory Five racing 35’ Ford Hot Rod truck finished in SEM’s Hot rod satin black paint over a black leather interior. The seller is the original owner and builder. The truck is currently located in Calgary, Alberta Canada and it is registered with a (Normal) active status in the province of Alberta. The kit from Factory five without the running gear currently retails at approximately $28,500 CAD. Here is a link to their retail page for the DIY truck kit: Link. For running gear, the seller opted for a 454 Cu in. BBC V8 engine paired to a 2-speed power glide automatic transmission. The truck features a period correct 1935 ford truck cabin with a functional bed and a complete jig-welded tube frame chassis.

For US bidders, this truck is importable after a compliance letter from Factory Five racing has been obtained. For more information on transport in Canda/USA and Import, please visit our Transport/Import page here.

The exterior is painted in Satin black with custom decals added on the doors and tail-gate. The seller mentions these decals are simply vinyl and not clear coated over so removal would be simple should the new owner wish to do so. The exterior features a hoodless specification, LED headlights, LED reverse and side marker lights, a raw aluminum finish grill, chrome mirrors, brushed aluminum wipers and flared rear wheel arches. The wheels are metallic silver-finished Core racing five spoke wheels. The tires in the front are Cooper CS5 Grand Touring rubber measuring 235/60/R16 and in the rear is a set of Mickey Thompson ET street tires measuring 255/60/R15

The bed measures 5’ and was built with stained wood and chrome trim. The bed hinges at the cab, folding up and revealing the frame construction, fuel system, differential, etc. This is also where the fuel tank is located and filled through an aluminum gas cap. Natural brown leather gate-ties complete the exterior of the truck.

Suspension in the front is naturally visible and shows off the unequal length A-arm control arms with the in-board Koni coil-over shock suspension system.

The cabin features black vinyl trimming on the door cards and seats with natural brown leather door ties. The truck is steered with a chrome and leather wrapped three-spoke steering wheel and the cluster is offset to the right mounted in the centre. The cluster features a six gauge arrangement with a 7k-rpm tachometer on the left, a 120mph speedometer to the right and fuel, oil pressure, battery volts and water temp gauges occupying the centre.

The seller opted for a Holley Sniper EFI system and has the LCD screen mounted above the cluster that keep track of all the engine vitals. Steering linkage is visible adjacent to the wildwood brake pedal and the power glide transmission is shifted by a B&M aluminum shifter with a white high-impact plastic knob. The windows are powered and the wiper blades feature three speeds.

At the heart of the build is a mid-80’s 4-bolt 454 BBC machined to 0.030” over with brass frost plugs and new cam bearings. The engines rotating assembly was installed at the time of rebuild with a balanced Eagle crank/rods/pistons/rings/bearings kit assembled with an approximate 8.5:1 compression ratio. The headers are Sanderson stainless steel connected to a custom side-exit exhaust. The fuel system is an AEM 380 l/hr pump with an AEM regulator and AN lines to connect everything together. Putting the power to the rear wheels is custom HD driveshaft connected to a differential assembly out of a 2005 Mustang with 3.55 gears. The new callipers, pads and e-brake cables are also part numbers derived from an 05 Mustang.
