This high performance 2-door convertible features a power-retractable black convertible soft top and a glass rear window which incorporates an electric defroster and a wind deflector. Chrome rings found within the headlight housings were an update for the 2002 year, complementing the S2000’s high intensity discharge headlights. Keyless entry, power locks, and interval wipers are standard features. The S2000 has a front air dam and power adjustable exterior mirrors. The car rides on upgraded 17” wheels wrapped in newly installed Bridgestone Potenza tires, 225/45P17 all around, with ABS disc brakes. The S2000 is 162 inches long, 69 inches wide, and 51 inches high, with a 95 inch wheelbase.
The S2000’s interior features two-tone red and black leather upholstery in need of repair. A leather wrapped steering wheel fronts a digital speedometer illuminated orange and a tachometer with a 9K-rpm redline, along with fuel and temperature gauges. The S2000’s rack and pinion steering is electrically assisted. Amenities include a push-button ignition, cruise control, air conditioning, and an aftermarket CD player. The Honda S2000 features a front-engine, RWD layout. Power comes from Honda’s F20C engine - a naturally aspirated 16-valve SOHC 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited slip differential. This generates 240 horsepower at 8,300 rpm and 153 lb-ft of torque at 7,500 rpm when new. The S2000’s compact, lightweight engine is set behind the front axle giving the car a 50/50 weight distribution. Its independent suspension system utilises double wishbones with coil springs. The seller notes that the timing chain was recently replaced along with a fresh set of tires.
