Description
This 1943 Harley Davidson WLC, resplendent in red and white paint with a distinguished brown leather seat, has undergone a restoration, including a rebuilt three-speed transmission and clutch. The tank and fenders have been restored as well, featuring a later model ignition switch, odometer, and front fender. With brand new wheels and tires, all lights in perfect working order, and a smooth start, this motorcycle is a testament to both beauty and performance.
Notable elements encompass a black leather solo saddle with a skirted design, an engine guard, drum brakes, a springer fork, valanced fenders, a distinctive tombstone taillight, a streamlined two-into-one exhaust system, a stylish fishtail muffler, and a convenient side stand. The oil maintenance was performed in 2022. This WLC is currently available with an active and normal Manitoba registration.

Crafted in the spirit of the WWII era, this 1943 motorcycle captures the essence of its time. The vibrant red and white color scheme adds a touch of flair, complemented by the rich brown leather seat. Owned by the seller for around a decade and driven sparingly, this motorcycle was acquired to enhance a Harley-centric garage adorned with various Harley-Davidson collectibles.
Purchased from a fellow Harley enthusiast who shared the same passion, this bike underwent mechanical restoration at PD Restoration service in London, Ontario. The transmission, wheels, and clutch were restored to a like-new condition, ensuring reliability and an authentic riding experience.

Although the seller notes that motor exhibits some leakage, a characteristic common for bikes of this era, it's within acceptable limits. The seller includes a complete service manual for the new owner. The seller notes that the paint is near-new condition without any rock chips, scratches, or dents. The only known modifications are the front fender and speedometer, sourced from an early 50's motorcycle and acquired as-is.
For US bidders, this WLC is directly importable without modification as it is EPA & DOT exempt being greater than 25 years old. For more information on transport/import please visit our Transport/Import page here.

The seller notes that no mechanical issues are present at the moment. The 45 cubic inch side-valve flathead V-twin, originally boasting 24 horsepower, is equipped with a Linkert M88 carburetor, a sleek chrome air cleaner cover, a kick starter, and a stylish two-into-one exhaust system finished in satin black. This exhaust system features a satin black fishtail muffler for added flair. The oil underwent a change in 2022, ensuring optimal engine performance. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a manually operated three-speed transmission with a foot clutch, complemented by a drive chain featuring a protective black guard.
