Description
This is a 2001 Lexus LX470 that is finished in Mystic Sea (paint code: 6S5) over an Ivory leather interior. The LX is powered by a 4.7L V8 engine paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission featuring a dual-range transfer case and a locking centre differential. A recent Carfax report is included in the gallery below and shows registration history in the provinces of Quebec and Ontario. The truck is currently registered in the province of Ontario with an active and (Normal) registration status. The Carfax report mentions one accident occurring in 2002 without an associated insurance claim. The truck is offered for sale privately and it is currently located in Peterborough, Ontario.
For US bidders, this LX470 is importable after a compliance letter from Lexus USA customer service has been obtained. For more information on transport within Canada and import to the USA, please visit our Transport/Import page here.
As previously mentioned, the truck is finished from the factory in Mystic Sea with darker lower trim. The paint is believed to be for the most part original, although the seller mentions that parts of the fenders and bumpers have been resprayed. The exterior features projector-style headlights, fog lights, roof rails, paint-matched running boards, a rear wind deflector, a receiver hitch, a split tailgate, and a rear window wiper. An aftermarket bull bar has been added to the front of the LX. The truck is equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension featuring driver-selected Adjustable Height Control and the seller has included a video demonstrating this ability. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs. The seller notes that some of the chrome trim is peeling around the exterior. The seller also mentions rust starting on the fenders/arches - close-ups of these areas are included in the gallery’s imperfections category.
The 16″ gunmetal grey finished twin five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with “Like-new” Kuhmo Crugen all-season tires measuring 265/70R16 on all four.
The interior of the LX is trimmed in Ivory leather seating surfaces along with matching carpets and a two-tone dashboard and door panels. The interior features three rows of seats and the third-row is bi-folding laterally for increased storage space. Burl wood veneers accent the center console, gear selector, and doors. Passenger amenities include heated power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, a cassette stereo, a Mark Levinson sound system, and cruise control. An after market Clarion double-din touchscreen head unit has been added.
The four-spoke leather- and wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 200kph speedometer (which also displays mph up to 120), a tachometer, and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates approx. 190k-kms (118k-miles).
The LX470 is powered by a 4.7-liter 2UZ-FE V8 that was factory rated at 230 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque when new. The V8 power is sent to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. The seller mentions that all the spark plugs were recently replaced, and an oil change was completed at their local Toyota dealership.
The LX has had comes equipped with a block heater, and an aftermarket auto-start system has been installed. The sale includes the original 3-key set, the original first aid kit, and the owner’s manual packet filled with manufacturers literature.
