Description
This is a 2001 BMW 540i finished in Cosmos Schwarz metallic paint (303). This 540i is offered for sale privately by its fourth registered owner and it is currently registered in Alberta, Canada with a (Normal) status. This 540i was sold new at advantage BMW, Houston TX, USA in 2001. The seller has the original window sticker which lists an MSRP of $53,900 USD. It was imported into Canada in 2011 and because it was sold new in the U.S., it may be re-imported back, free of duties.
The digital odometer shows 115,700 kms (72k miles). Highlights of the factory equipment include power-adjustable front sport-seats, shadow line trim, glass and power-operated sunroof, xenon headlights and fog lights.

Mechanical
Powering the 540i is a 4.4-liter V8 naturally aspirated engine. Mated to the M62 engine is a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 540i has had a Dinan Cold-air intake added, then to accommodate the intake improvement, the engine computer software has been upgraded to a Dinan Stage 1 flash. Manufacturer claimed performance states the 540i can reach 100 km/h in 5.6s and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
