Description

Presenting this 1981 GMC Jimmy Sierra Classic 4X4, powered by a robust 350 cu in. engine paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking rear differential. Resplendent in metallic gray and silver hues over Slate Gray vinyl and gray cloth upholstery, this truck exudes timeless rugged style. Equipped with a white removable hardtop, 15-inch steel wheels fitted with 33-inch tires, aftermarket shocks, cruise control, and a push-button aftermarket stereo, it offers both comfort and capability.

The truck was sold new in British Columbia and has remained registered the province since. The current owner acquired it in 2022 and it is registered in the seller’s name with an active and (Normal) registration status in the province of BC. This Jimmy is now offered by the seller NO-RESERVE with manufacturer’s literature, and a recent Carfax report

For US bidders this Jimmy can be imported to the US duty-free as it was manufactured in the US and bears a VIN starting with “1”. For more information on transport/import please visit our Transport/Import page here.

The seller notes that the Jimmy has undergone a refurbishment with the intention of returning it to its original configurations while replacing and upgrading various pieces along the way.

The exterior was repainted approximately two-years ago in a stunning dark grey metallic finish. Enhancements include newer 15-inch chromed steel wheels paired with BFgoodrich Baja Champion All-terrain tires, while the removable hardtop was refinished in white. Notable exterior features include red Sierra Classic badging and a chrome front bumper with overriders.

Inside, the gray cloth and vinyl-trimmed front bucket seats and rear bench offer comfort and durability, complemented by brushed metal trim and an aftermarket Vintage-look aftermarket stereo.

Additional interior features include a lockable center console storage, power windows, and door locks. Instrumentation includes a 140-kph speedometer, analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level.

The odometer indicates just under 82k kilometers, with minimal mileage added by the seller since acquisition in 2022.

The carbureted 350 cu in. V8 was factory rated at 160 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that the engine and transmission were previously rebuilt and have travelled approximately 30k-kms since the rebuild. A column-shifted three-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking rear differential sends power to the rear or all four wheels.
