Description

This 1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Type LT is reported to have spent periods in both Florida and California before being relocated to Canada, where it was purchased by the present owner in 2014. Subsequent modifications were made to the 350ci Turbo-Fire V8 engine, including boring it over and installing aftermarket components such as a camshaft, electronic fuel pump, MSD ignition system, aluminum radiator, Summit Racing aluminum cylinder heads, and a dual exhaust system. Shifting is accomplished through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission, and the car's exterior is finished in a green hue with black stripes, complementing the green interior. Noteworthy additions comprise a limited-slip differential with a Moser Engineering differential cover, 15″ Billet Specialties wheels, Wilwood front brakes, a Hotchkis 2″ suspension lowering kit, front and rear spoilers, a Kenwood CD stereo, a Hurst shifter, and air conditioning. This Camaro Z28 is presently being offered by the selling dealer, complete with a copy of the Camaro Restoration Handbook, a spare 15″ wheelset, spare parts, and Ontario registration.

Originally painted in Light Green (44) with a green vinyl roof at the factory, the body underwent a repaint about three decades ago, as stated by the selling dealer. Black stripes adorn the hood, rear deck, and spoiler. Additional exterior features include a front spoiler, body-color side mirrors, chrome bumpers, and quad recessed round taillights. Photos displaying imperfections in the finish and paint meter readings can be found in the accompanying gallery. Billet Specialties 15″ wheels are equipped with 205/70 Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires up front and 275/60 Nitto NT550R Extreme Drag tires at the rear. Additionally, a set of black-finished 15″ five-spoke wheels with 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires is included in the sale and depicted in the gallery. Upgraded Wilwood brakes with drilled and slotted rotors and two-piston calipers are fitted at the front, and the selling dealer has confirmed the replacement of the rear drums during the current ownership. The Hotchkis 2″ suspension drop kit, featuring shocks, springs, frame connectors, leaf springs, and sway bars, has been installed.

According to the selling dealer, the cabin underwent a refresh in the 1980s, during which the front bucket and individual rear seats were reupholstered in a combination of green cloth and vinyl. The dashboard and doors were adorned with woodgrain veneer, and additional interior features include a Kenwood CD stereo, a Hurst shifter, a Tremec-branded black cueball-style shift knob, and air conditioning. The three-spoke steering wheel faces a 130-mph speedometer, a fuel-level gauge, and indicator lights for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The odometer, displaying a five-digit reading, currently shows 4,700 miles, with approximately 1,000 miles added during the present ownership. The total mileage remains unknown.

The Turbo-Fire V8 engine was reportedly enlarged to 355ci during the refurbishment and was fitted with aftermarket components such as a camshaft, an electronic fuel pump, and Summit Racing aluminum cylinder heads. Additional enhancements include an electronic MSD ignition system, an aluminum radiator, and a dual exhaust system with 3″ piping. During the modification process, a Tremec five-speed manual transmission was installed, directing power to the rear wheels via a Positraction limited-slip differential, purportedly equipped with 4.30:1 gearing. A Moser Engineering differential cover was also added.
