Description
A variant designed for sportier performance within the BMW 02 Series, the 2002 model was brought into existence upon the request of the renowned auto importer Max Hoffman. It made its debut in the American market in 1968, showcasing an enhanced 2.0-liter M10 engine. This particular instance from 1974 has undergone a transformation, now displaying a vibrant orange exterior finish. Notable modifications include an upgraded Weber carburetor, Scorpion exhaust system, a Nardi steering wheel, and custom Panasport wheels. With a history of being cared for by three previous owners, this vintage BMW 2002 is currently being presented for auction by its Canadian seller. The 2002 is currently registered in the province of Quebec with an active and Normal registration status.
For US bidders, this 2002 is directly importable without modification as it is EPA & DOT exempt being greater than 25 years old. For more information on transport/import please visit our Transport/Import page here.

Reportedly, the exterior was repainted in the current orange hue back in 2015. The car exhibits consistent orange brake calipers, along with chrome accents on its body and window moldings, a pair of polished mirrors, dual central tailpipes, and stainless-steel bumpers adorned with rubber trim.
The vehicle sits on a collection of aftermarket 15” Panasport Z-Light wheels, wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires. A comprehensive set of detailed images is available in the provided gallery.

Inside, the interior is lined with beige carpeting and boasts seats, door panels, and a center console cloaked in black leatherette upholstery.
The cabin's features comprise a black dashboard housing a woodgrain instrument panel, a Nardi steering wheel with a wooden rim, a Nardi shift knob wrapped in black leather, black carpeted floor mats, and supplementary gauges positioned on the central dashboard, monitoring oil pressure, temperature, and battery voltage.

Propelled by a naturally aspirated M10 inline four-cylinder engine, this vehicle has been upgraded with an improved Weber carburetor and a Scorpion exhaust system. A 4-speed manual gearbox drives the rear wheels. The seller has communicated that the front brakes have been renewed, and no maintenance responsibilities have been postponed during the present ownership.
