This is a 1997 Honda Civic Si coupe 5-speed finished in Vogue silver paint (code: NH-583M). The seller mentions this Civic is in completely factory specification and is free of modifications. This is a Canadian spec Civic Si that the seller mentions was sold new in BC, Canada and then spent time in Ontario from 1999-2010 before moving back to BC. It was then purchased by the current owner in early 2020 and registered in Alberta.
The seller mentions he has owned the civic for approximately one year and has added approximately 600 kms under his ownership. A major service was recently completed at 84k kms including a timing belt service and a clutch replacement. A service record for these items is included in the gallery below.
This Civic is offered for sale privately and it is currently registered in Alberta, Canada. It’s offered with a complete factory manual, service records and a newer set of original floor mats.
Highlights of the factory equipment on this Civic include a 5-speed manual transmission, a glass and powered sunroof, black body trim, chrome Honda factory badges, four-wheel disk brakes and a Honda AM/FM, CD stereo.
This Civic is equipped with steel wheels that measure 14” at all four corners. At the front the wheels are wrapped in Champion VP1 tires measuring 185/65/R14 and on the rear are mounted Goodyear Integrity tires measuring the same 185/65R14. The wheels are also finished with silver hub caps.
The seller notes rock chips on the front bumper, scratches on the front & rear bumpers passenger side and the driver side headlight has some condensation.

The interior is trimmed in grey cloth on the seat, door cards, arm rest and roof. A crisscross patterned fabric is found in the middle of the seat inserts.

The dark-grey four spoke steering wheel fronts a mechanical gauge cluster showing an 8000rpm tachometer at the left and 220 kph speedometer on the right. The odometer on this Civic shows just under 89,600 kms.
Power is sent from the 1.6L inline four engine through a 5-speed manual gearbox to the front wheels. Exhaust is expelled through a single-tip muffler exhaust system.
Powering the Civic is a D16Y8 single overhead cam (SOHC) 16-valve inline-four-cylinder engine. This engine features VTEC that switches over at 5500 pm. This engine package was only ever available in Canada under the Si trim level.
Factory redline is set at 6800rpm and it has a compression ratio of 9:6:1.
