This is a US-spec 1995 Acura NSX that has been modified to an NSX-R style build. As per the recent included Carfax report, the NSX was imported to Canada in 2004. The Carfax report shows history registration history in Florida, Texas, Colorado, Ontario and British Columbia. There is a detailed build thread on the website forum NSXPRIME that illustrates the build history. The link to this thread is located HERE.

For US bidders, this NSX is directly importable as it a US-specification vehicle and has been registered in the USA previously. For more information on transport in Canada/USA and Import, please visit our Transport and Import page HERE.

The Carfax report reveals an accident in 1999 with no linked insurance claim, and damage was reported in 2003, resulting in the insurance company declaring it a total loss. Despite this incident, the NSX maintains an active and normal registration status, not labeled as salvage or rebuilt. Carfax.com clarifies that when the estimated repair cost of a vehicle crosses a certain threshold, the estimate facility flags it for Total Loss consideration. Ultimately, the decision to brand the vehicle as rebuilt or salvage is left to the insurance company and/or the province and in this case it was not branded.

A JDM-C30A NSX engine was installed in favour of the original when the odometer showed approx. 105k-miles, despite the engine itself having approximately 30k-miles. In the previous owners’ words, "It's an Imported Japanese NSX C30A engine that had about 30k-miles at the time of installation. It was removed under my ownership, and a full maintenance service was performed." With the vehicles odometer showing 140k-miles, the engine is believed to have approximately 65k-miles currently.

The NSX featured aluminum bodywork, and this example was originally finished in Formula Red with a matching roof panel and pillars. It underwent a full re-spray in OEM Honda Championship white paint (NH-0). In pursuing a NSX-R style appearance, the exterior has been modified to a full NA2 spec. using mainly OEM Honda NA2 and NSX-R parts. Exterior details include NA2 headlights, an integrated carbon fiber rear wing, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. The 17″ forged wheels were sourced from an NA2 NSX, powder-coated bright white and mounted with 215/40 front and 255/40 rear “near-new” Dunlop Direzza ZIII tires. The car features a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, and braking is handled by NSX-branded calipers over vented and drilled rotors at each corner. A Seibon vented carbon fiber "R-style" hood has been utilized as well.

In 2014, the NSX's powertrain underwent a substantial restoration, addressing a wide range of components and systems. The refurbishment included comprehensive replacements and upgrades such as the installation of new NGK spark plugs and ignition coils. The coil cover gaskets were also replaced, along with the fuel and oil filters. Additionally, critical components like the timing belt, timing belt tensioner, tensioner spring, water pump, and valve cover gaskets with grommets were all replaced. The thermostat and its gasket were carefully installed along with several seals and gaskets, including drive shaft seals, cam seals, and oil pan gaskets, were renewed. Key structural elements like the oil pan and baffle were replaced. Moreover, the clutch system saw improvements with the replacement of the master cylinder, slave cylinder, and release bearing. Various belts and hoses were also replaced, including the alternator and AC belts, and the ABS hose for high pressure. Further enhancements involved the rebuilding of the alternator and starter. Additionally, performance exhaust components (Pride Exhaust V2 Dual and Pride Headers) were integrated into the powertrain. Maintenance extended to critical drivetrain elements such as the intermediate shaft bearing, seals, and circlips, along with a thorough rebuild of both left and right axles.

NSX-branded floor mats line the footwells, and interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and an aftermarket Pioneer double-din head unit. The stainless-steel door sill plates are stamped with the car’s serial number. Real carbon fibre trim has been added to the centre console along with matching interior door trim. The seller has also added a Compustar alarm system which features keyless entry and remote start.

A Momo tuner leather wrapped steering wheel with an OEM Honda horn button frames a tachometer with an 8,000-rpm redline, a 188-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 140k miles.

During the NSX-R style build, an entire black interior was sourced and upgrades also extended to the installation of newer RECARO DC5 seats. The roof and targa seals were replaced with new OEM seals as well. Various images from the NSXPRIME build thread have been included in the galleries misc. category.

The VTEC-equipped mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 engine, factory-rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque, is a prominent feature. Power from this engine is transmitted to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The gallery below includes supplementary images showcasing the underside of the vehicle. During the build process and under previous ownership the engine bay and under hood area were primed and paint matched championship white.

Since the current owner took ownership of the NSX, several significant improvements and maintenance tasks have been undertaken to enhance its overall functionality. The climate control system was repaired, involving the replacement of various AC components and installation of new AC lines, ensuring optimal performance. The windows, which were initially non-functional, were repaired to enable smooth movement. Furthermore, modifications were made to the exhaust system, where the test pipes were replaced with Angus AP-X Hiflow Cats, for improved emissions and performance.

All fluids were recently flushed, including oil, and transmission fluid, reflecting a commitment to regular maintenance and performance upkeep. These combined efforts illustrate the owner's dedication to preserving and enhancing the NSX's condition and performance since taking ownership.
