Description
This is a 2001 Audi RS4 Avant finished in Nogaro blue pearl (paint code: LZ5M). This RS4 is one of a 6000 produced for the world and they were never offered for sale in North America. This left-hand drive example was sold new in Germany, and was acquired by the current owner in Belgium at which point it was imported into Canada in 2019 making the seller the first and only registered owner in Canada. This RS4 is offered for sale privately out of the seller’s personal collection and it is currently registered in Ontario, Canada with a (Normal) status. The Rs4 is located in Toronto and Formula Auctions can assist a buyer in arranging Transport/Import across Canada & USA. The odometer shows just under 182,000 kms, 7k of which were added by the seller. Highlights of the factory equipment include a rear wiper, fog lights, full leather interior with carbon fiber trim, brushed aluminum-look mirror covers, two-piece floating brake rotors, nine-spoke Audi wheels, a power sunroof and silver roof-rails.
When compared to the S4, the RS4 features widened front fenders and widened rear wheel-arches. The front and rear bumpers are also RS4 specific with re-worked bumper venting and louvers. The grill features a honeycomb pattern and RS4 badging is found around the bodywork. The seller mentions that the exterior was professionally refinished under a previous ownership in Europe. The footing of the RS4 has been improved by adding a Bilstein adjustable suspension kit. Braking is managed by disk-brakes and two-piece floating rotors at all corners. Service records are included in the gallery and depict regular service throughout the RS4’s lifetime. Notable services include a timing belt/water pump, thermostat and exhaust camshaft replacement occurring at 146k, while a complete engine re-seal was also completed at this time. The nine-spoke 18” Audi wheels are wrapped in Continental Extreme contact sport plus tires that were recently installed 1000kms ago. The seller mentions a small dent on the driver side rear quarter panel and some rock chips on the front bumper and hood.
The cabin is trimmed in black premium leather on the Recaro seats, door cards and center console. Carbon Fiber trim pieces are inlaid into the door panels, dash and shifter surround. An RS4 branded three-spoke steering wheel fronts a digital and analog cluster with a 8000 rpm tachometer to the left and a 310km/h speedometer on the right. The seller mentions there are no warning lights on in the cluster. The transmission is manually shifted with power sent to all four wheels utilizing Audi’s quattro system.
Driver amenities include A/C, a leather-wrapped shift knob, RS4 branded/heated and adjustable Recaro sport seats, cruise control, a premium Bose audio system and a pop-out cup holder.
The seller has included import documentation, German service records with added translation and the RS4 comes with the complete factory leather-backed manual and two keys.
Powering the RS4 avant is a 2.7L V6 twin-turbo engine that was jointly developed with Cosworth. The Engine features carbon fiber engine covers, K04 turbochargers and strengthened engine internals when compared to the S4 2.7L. Other recent service include a full brake service (Pads and rotors Front and rear), tie-rod replacement, brake fluid flush and 02 sensors.
