Description
The vehicle boasts a red exterior paired with black upholstery and comes with a black convertible roof. It rides on silver-finished steel wheels adorned with hubcaps, powered by a lone Solex carburetor, and features a heater. A comprehensive restoration spanning four years was undertaken in 2004, involving a complete disassembly, removal of the frame, extensive rust restoration, and subsequent refurbishment to attain its present state. The current owner purchased the car from a private collection in Ontario in 2019 and has used it sparingly since then. The sale encompasses a clean Alberta registration under the seller's name.
For US bidders, this Spider is directly importable without modification as it is EPA & DOT exempt being greater than 25 years old. For more information on transport/import please visit our Transport/Import page here.
The Pininfarina-crafted bodywork was originally coated in red at the factory, but a repaint was undertaken by the previous owner during the comprehensive restoration completed in 2008. The external features encompass a black convertible roof, a side mirror on the driver's side, chrome bumpers, and a solitary exhaust outlet finished with a polished touch. A fresh black soft top has been affixed, accompanied by fitting gasket seals and trunk seals.
As part of the restoration, the bumpers and chrome trim were reconditioned. Gleaming silver-finished steel wheels are accompanied by chrome hubcaps bearing the Alfa Romeo insignia, and they are outfitted with P155/80R15 American Classic radial tires. Braking duties are managed by drum brakes at all corners.
Inside the cabin, you'll find low-back bucket seats dressed in black with corresponding black piping. The color-coordinated dash pad and door panels add to the aesthetic appeal. The interior is further appointed with black carpets, a painted dash that matches the exterior hue, manually operated side windows, lap belts, a rearview mirror mounted on the dashboard, and a cabin heater for added comfort.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts Veglia instrumentation, which incorporates a central tachometer, a speedometer reaching up to 120 mph, and supplementary gauges. The odometer with a five-digit display indicates just under 49k-miles.
Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. The 1.3L twin-cam inline-four engine is equipped with a sole Solex carburetor and underwent refurbishment as part of the restoration process. It is noted to have covered fewer than 1000 miles since the restoration was completed.
