Description
This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle has undergone a comprehensive restoration by the seller over a three-year period, completed in 2023. Since then, the car has been driven approximately 1,000 kms. It is registered in the seller's name in the province of Quebec, with an active and normal registration status. The Chevelle is finished in an eye-catching emerald green metallic paint over a black vinyl interior. This restored 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle combines classic styling with modern upgrades, making it a standout choice for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
For U.S. bidders, this Chevelle is directly importable without modification, as it is EPA and DOT exempt due to being over 25 years old. For more information on transport in Canada/USA and import details, please visit our Transport/Import page HERE
During the restoration process, the body was stripped to bare metal, primed, and repainted emerald green metallic on a rotisserie. Modifications include the removal of the black vinyl roof cover in favor of a painted finish. The original hood was replaced with a raised cowl hood, and an aftermarket true-dual stainless steel exhaust system was installed, expelling out the rear.
The exterior features dual halogen headlights, a slick top (no sunroof), chrome window trim, door handles, mirrors, Chevelle badges, and a gloss black grille. The 15” chrome wheels are wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial tires. Both front and rear sway-bars have been upgraded, and Bilstein shocks and a spring kit have been installed. Various undercarriage photos are available in the gallery.
The interior was reupholstered in black vinyl during the restoration, with chrome buckled lap belts for the front and rear seats ensuring passenger safety. The door panels are also trimmed in black. A three-spoke wooden-rimmed steering wheel fronts a horizontally sweeping 120 mph speedometer.
The odometer shows just over 78k miles. Amenities include manually operated front and rear windows, a Chevrolet branded AM/FM radio, and an aftermarket steering column-mounted tachometer. The car features a new three-speed automatic TH350 transmission, which is manually selectable via the center console selector.
Powering this Chevelle is a rebuilt 350 cubic inch V8 engine, completed during the restoration. The engine maintains factory specifications with the exception of an Edelbrock intake manifold and competition camshafts. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels through the V8 engine.
