Originally introduced as a full-size model in 1949, the Dodge Coronet transitioned to a mid-size model by 1965. Performance-oriented versions like the R/T and Super Bee came equipped with powerful Hemi and Magnum V8 engines. In 1977, the Coronet was rebranded as the Monaco.
