In 2008 the new BMW M3 was introduced to the North American Market. The chassis code E90 was given to the 4-door sedan variant, E92 was given to the coupe and E93 was given to the convertible. Production ranged from 2008 to 2013, with a total of 65,985 cars produced across all body variants. It was the first production M3 to receive a V8, and a mighty one at that. The S65 engine produced 414hp and 295 lb-ft of torque with a sky high redline at 8,400 rpm. The E9x M3 was also the first to have an optional dual clutch transmission (DCT).
