The B8 was Audi’s fifth generation S4, which was the sport upgrade to the Audi A4 family. Produced from 2008 to 2016 by the Volkswagen Group, the B8 S4 has a longitudinally oriented front-mounted engine; a TFSI supercharged 3.0-liter V6 with Fuel Stratified Injection. It has a 0-60 acceleration time of 4.9 seconds with its 7-speed S tronic DL501 dual clutch transmission, and therefore as a consequence of its forced induction Eaton supercharger, accelerates faster than its Audi V8 predecessors the B6 and B7, without being subject to the US gas guzzler tax.
