The Toyota Celica was introduced in 1970 as a 2-door sportscar and the named was carried through generations for many years until the model was discontinued in 2006. The word Celica was derived from the Latin word "coelica" which indirectly translates to "heavenly" or "Celestial".... we can understand why!
