Coupe & Spyder

From 2001 to 2007, Italian manufacturer Maserati produced the Coupé and Spyder gran turismos - these were a four-seater coupe and a two-seater convertible based on the preceding 3200 GT. They were commonly referred to as the 4200 GT, in reference to the increase in engine displacement from 3.2-liter to 4.2-liter. Designated internally as Tipo M138, these were powered by Ferrari’s F136 R engine - a 32-valve DOHC V8. This was the last design of Giorgetto Giugiaro to emanate from the Viale Ciro Menotti factory in Modena, and it was named the Best GT by Forbes in 2001.
