The F10 M5 was produced by BMW from 2011 to 2016 and came powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 most commonly mated to a 7-speed Getrag 7DCI600 dual-clutch automatic transmission. Both the turbocharger and the dual-clutch trans were firsts for an M5. A 6-speed manual transmission was also available in the US market.
