Blog: Tuned 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo with GT2 Upgrades

This 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo is being offered by a seller in North Vancouver for $91,100 with 137,000 kms on the odometer. This 6-speed manual coupe finished in Seal Grey Metallic underwent an engine refresh and transmission rebuild at 115,000kms. The fifth generation 911 Turbo is one of the world’s best-loved sports cars.

The car sits on BBS CH-R Motorsport wheels in Satin Titanium and features Xenon headlights that arch down into the bumper in a characteristic unique to the Turbo. A cover for the car and a disappearing trailer hitch come with purchase. The rear wiper has been removed, and the carbon fibre wing is fixed. The seller can provide a global warranty expiring Summer 2023 and a clean Carfax report. It was serviced by SCAN Automotive in Vancouver.

Inside you’ll find Rennline adjustable pedals, black leather seating, a carbon fibre shifter, an Apple CarPlay compatible Pioneer head unit, and a dashboard that was replaced in 2020. The rear seatbacks fold down to create a flat cargo floor.

The 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo is powered by a water-cooled 24-valve 3.6-liter turbocharged Mezger six cylinder boxer engine. It uses the same block, pistons, and camshaft chain drive as a Porsche 911 GT3. Valve technology is the VarioCam Plus system, with two intake timing positions. The car has undergone a RWD conversion and various performance and chassis upgrades to align it more with a GT2 - the seller estimates the power output has been raised from its factory 416 hp to approximately 500 hp with the addition of Tial Alpha 28RS turbochargers, Bosch 72 injectors, Protomotive 3.5’ thermal coated intercoolers, and more.
