On August 19, 2023, the Calgary Thunderbird Club hosted its annual All Ford Show and Shine at Richard-Knob Hill Community Centre. While primarily a gathering for devoted Ford Thunderbird enthusiasts, the event welcomed Ford fans of all kinds. Among the numerous Ford vehicles on display, Among the numerous Ford vehicles on display, the beloved Thunderbirds took centre stage, harmoniously coexisting with a variety of other models from the brand.

For many years, The Calgary Thunderbird Club has been hosting the All Ford Show and Shine, showcasing their passion for all things Ford Motor Company. The event enthusiastically welcomes and encourages Ford enthusiasts of all stripes to attend and proudly showcase their cherished automobiles.

My personal favourite of the show was this Meteor Custom Woodie that had just been rescued and will be undergoing a mechanical restoration

This year, the show featured over 60 specialty Fords, with the majority being members of the Calgary Thunderbird Club. While Thunderbirds adorned the event, there was also a delightful variety of other vehicles in attendance. The presence of modern Ford tuner cars, the Alberta Mustang’s Club, and a diverse assortment of others including Mercury trucks and shoebox Ford’s, made the show a memorable event for all attendees.

Since its inaugural show and shine, The Calgary Thunderbird Club has consistently organised a fantastic event each year. Thanks to the warm and welcoming volunteers, the show and shine has become a favourite gathering for kindred spirits, offering Ford enthusiasts the ideal venue to immerse themselves in antique Fords, all in one place.
